About College: |
CDAC, Noida - formerly known as ER&DCI, Noida - is a constituent unit of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, a Scientific Society of the Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India. It is a multi-campus center with two campuses (R&D and Academic) separated by a distance of about 100 meters. The overall built-up area is around 17000 square meters. The current employee strength is around 400, of which more than 60% is engineers.
From its very inception in 1994, the center has been working in application oriented design and development for various customer requirements. During these years, it has acquired competency, expertise and extensive experience in the areas of Health Informatics, Embedded Systems, Language Computing and e-Governance domains. These form the four verticals of its R&D wing.
The academic wing focuses on generation of quality manpower in advanced software areas. It is organized as four schools –viz.- School of IT (SoIT), School of Electronics (SoE), School of Management (SoM) and Finishing School (FS). SoIT provides MCA and M.Tech courses in Computer Science and Information Technology. SOE provides M.Tech course in VLSI Design and a number of postgraduate diploma programs in wireless, embedded systems, and hardware design. SoM provides MBA course in Software Enterprise Management. These are affiliated to GGSIP University in New Delhi. The Finishing School offers various postgraduate diploma courses in many advanced topics.
CDAC, Noida stresses on synergy between education, research, and product development. It accords prime importance to reliability and maintainability of its systems in field. The technology development initiatives of the Centre are highly focused in the above four areas and are obtained predominantly with funding from the various Ministries and Departments of Government of India, State Governments and other agencies. |

There is no age restriction for admission to C-DAC’s PG Diploma courses. Candidates who have appeared/will be appearing for the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2016 will also be considered for admission to the above courses
By qualifying in C-DAC's admission tests of December 2016, such candidates can apply for provisional admission in February 2017 batch, subject to the condition that:
(a) All parts of their qualifying degree examination shall be completed by the date of joining the course, and
(b) Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with at least the required minimum marks shall be submitted at C-DAC by 31st May 2017

Admissions to all PG Diploma courses of C-DAC are done through C-DAC's computerised Common Admission Test (C-CAT)
Every year, C-CAT is usually conducted in June (for August admissions) and December (for February admissions). Candidates who clear the December 2016 C-CAT will only be considered for admission to C-DAC’s PG Diploma courses of February 2017 batch on the basis of their C-CAT ranks and centre/course preferences
C-CAT Test Papers
C-CAT has three sections (Section A, Section B, Section C) of one hour duration each. As shown in Table 6, depending on the category of courses selected by the candidate, he/she will have to either appear for just one test paper (Section A) or two test papers (Section A and Section B) or all the three test papers (Section A, Section B and Section C)
The medium of C-CAT is English
Important Note: A candidate can appear only for the specific section(s) in C-CAT as per the category of the courses opted by him/her at the time of filling the online application form
Every section in C-CAT will have 50 objective-type questions. Each question will have four choices as possible answers of which only one will be correct
There will be +03 (plus three) marks for each correct answer, -1 (minus one) for each wrong answer, and 0 (zero) marks for each un-attempted question
The maximum mark a candidate can obtain in any one section of C-CAT is 150

Candidate should also send the print out of the application form along with the self-attested photocopies of certificates/ mark sheets and DD (if mode of payment is DD) so as to reach the below mentioned address. Last date of Online Registration. It is advised to read the General Instructions carefully before filling up the Application Form. Registration Fee is Rs. 300/-. The procedure for admission in this course is given below:
· See the advertisement in the month of February to April on GGSIP University www.ipu.ac.in
· Candidates have to apply online.
· Submit the online application form; please note that once you submit application form, you will not be able to change any details in the form once it is locked.
· A written test CET is conducted in the month of May for those who applied for CET through online.
· Result of CET will be announced within 15 days of conduct of the CET exam.
· Counseling schedule will be announced by the GGSIP University during May-June.
· Qualified CET students will be called for the counseling as per the notification published at GGSIP University website. Students appearing for the counseling should strictly follow the rule as per notification. The documents to be submitted along with the course fee details will also be notified at the GGSIP University.
· After admission the student has to join the institute where he/she has taken the admission with admission receipt, 5 Passport size latest color photograph, soft copy of the passport size photograph and original certificates and mark sheets for verification.

1. BTech / BE in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent degree with 60% marks.
2. MCA, MSc (IT)/ Computer Science/Electronics with 60% marks.
Admission Procedure
No entrance test will be held for admission in MTech programmes. Availability of forms and admission dates are notified in national newspapers. The admission in the MTech programmes for all the seats shall be made on the basis of valid GATE SCORE/Marks obtained in qualifying examination and experience, wherever available.
For General Category, merit list will be prepared on the basis of valid GATE SCORE. If seats remain vacant after admitting students with valid GATE score, then the admission for vacant seats shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying degree subject to securing of a minimum of 60% marks.
The Sponsored Category candidates in addition to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions as basic criteria given below must have a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in a registered firm / company / industry /educational and research institution / any Government Department/ Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought after the completion of qualifying examination. A letter from employer must be furnished stating that the candidate is being sponsored to seek admission in MTech (IT)/M/Tech (CSE) Full time programme.
The Reserved Seats for MTech (CSE/IT/VLSI) programmes as follows:
Ø Fifteen percent seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes.
Ø Seven and half percent seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.
Ø Five percent seats are reserved for Defence Category.
Ø Three percents of seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates.
Scholarship Scheme
Stipend of Rs 11,000/- in the first semester to all the candidates fulfilling following eligibility criteria:
Ø 75% Gate Score or 70% in qualifying examination
Ø In Subsequent semesters the stipend of Rs 11,000/- will be given to candidate provided he/she scores 70% marks in previous semester exams.

For submission of Application Form, visit website www.cdacnoida.in. Registration for the course would be done ONLINE. Candidate should also send the print out of the application form along with the self-attested photocopies of certificates/ mark sheets and DD (if mode of payment is DD) so as to reach the below mentioned address. Last date of Online Registration. It is advised to read the General Instructions carefully before filling up the Application Form. Registration Fee is Rs. 300/-. Fee can be paid through DD or Credit Card only. DD should be in favor of CDAC, Noida payable at NOIDA and must be earlier. A candidate can apply for one or more than one course. Payment for each course has to be done separately. If payment is made through Credit Card then candidate shall be redirected to Payment Gateway of ICICI Bank by S/W wherein candidate can fill necessary details to complete the registration.
