About College:

Tamilnadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is a leading agrotechnology provider of India and its graduates are recognized throughout the world. Though the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) came into being on June 1, 1971, it had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906. The University is offering Twelve Undergraduate Degree Programs and Twenty nine Postgraduate Degree Programs in 10 Colleges distributed in seven campuses all over Tamil Nadu. Eligible Subjects of Study in the Qualifying Examination

1.       Mathematics or Botany or Biology as first subject

2.       Physics as second subject

3.       Chemistry as third subject

4.       One Elective as fourth subject,  the elective subject being any one of Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Home Science, Nursing or Nutritional Dietetics.

 

Candidates who have not studied X, XI and XII standards in Tamil Nadu should produce the certificate of permanent residence in Tamil Nadu in the prescribed format (enclosed with application) from competent authorities for considering the application.

 

Higher Secondary - Vocational Stream:  As 5% of total seats are exclusively reserved for candidates under Vocational Stream, they are not considered under general merit and any of the other reservation categories, if any.
