Pass in 10 + with Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks in Math and Science plus 3 years related work experience. OR Pass in 10 + Examination with ITI Certificate plus one year related work experience. OR Pass in 10 + Examination with Apprenticeship Certificate. OR Pass in 12 + Examination with one year related work experience. OR Pass in 12 + Examination in Vocational Stream and working in related field.

In addition to above 10% intake seats will be granted to the service personnel of the following categories provided they fulfill the qualification for admission & other conditions. (a) Armed Forces (b) B.S.F. (c) Central Reserve Police (d) Assam Rifles

(e) Indo-Tibetan Border Police

Also the candidates who have qualified Draughtsman's course from the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training are eligible for admission in second year class in the respective Branch of Engineering if they fulfill other conditions for admission and seats are available in 2nd year of respective branch.
