S.N. Bose National Centre. The Centre is now almost eighteen years old, and many of our Ph.D. students and post-docs are now spread far and wide in the physics community. It is time to come together, at least on the internet, and share our news, remember the good times we had and forge the Boson family ties.
Applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in Chemistry-Honours with Physics and Mathematics as subsidiaries OR 55% marks in aggregate with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics for universities that do not offer honours degree. Candidates in the latter case should clearly mention, “Honours degree not provided” in their applications. Those who have appeared in the qualifying examination may also apply but their application will be tentative subject to securing the required percentage of marks.
Selection Procedure: Short-listed applicants will be required to appear in a written test (to be conduced at Kolkata) containing multiple-choice questions. Further short-listed candidates on the basis of the written test will be called for an interview, out of which a maximum of ten candidates will be selected for admission. List of successful candidates will be displayed on the websites of both the institutes.
