Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, MDNIY

Pass in 12th class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marsk in Physics, Chemistry, Biology provided that the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Relaxation for reserved categories will be given as per University norms.

Selection: Selection of the students will be made on the merit prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the aforesaid examination/class and subject to the Medical fitness.

Hostel: A stipend of Rs. 3,000/- per month per student, in lieu of Hostel accommodation, will be provided on merit to a maximum 12 students in a atch, who hails from the states other than Delhi and NCR (conditions apply).

The Application Form and Admission Brochure can be obtained from the designated branches of the Indian Bank at New Delhi or from the office of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) on payment of Rs. 1000/- on any working day. The Application Form and Admission Brochure can also be obtained through registered/speed post on payment of Rs. 1100/- (including postage) through demand draft in favour of “MORARJI DESAI NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF YOGA, NEW DELHI” payable at any Nationalized Bank at New Delhi. Cheques are not accepted. Application Form and Admission Brochure can also be downloaded from website: www.yogamdniy.nic.in and www.ipu.ac.in. In that case the applicant shall deposit Rs. 1000/- at the times of submission of application. The amount once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances. The Institute/University will not be responsible for delay, loss or damage of the Application/Demand Draft for issuance of Admission Brochure after its dispatch from the Institute/University. Graduate from a recognized University with minimum 40% marks in aggregate, 5% weight age will be given to those possessing PG Degree in any subject.

Age Limit: Below 30 years as on 01.08.2012 (10 years age relaxation for in-service candidates, who joins the course on deputation through proper channel).

No of Seats: 115 (GM-58, OBC-31, SC-17 and ST-9). In addition to this, 2 seats are reserved for students from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 2 for North-East States and 1 for foreign student.

Selection: Will be on merit cum reservation on qualifying degree.

Scholarship: Rs 3,000/- per month to 13 (GM-7, OBC-3, SC-2, and ST-1) meritorious students based on the performance in the first semester examination of DYSc

Fellowship: Rs. 8,000/- p.m. to 2 students each from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and North-East States. The application of those candidates shall be forwarded by the concerned Health/AYUSH Deptt of the States/UT. However, the candidate may send an advance copy of their application to MDNIY.

Hostel: The Institute will provide hostel facility for 25 meritorious students (States other than Delhi and NCR) on same conditions. The boarding and lodging charges will be Rs. 2,500/- per month.

The application form and prospectus can be obtained from the office of MDNIY from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on any working day from 15.07.2010 on payment of Rs. 200/- in cash/demand draft in favour of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, payable at any Nationalized Bank at New Delhi. The prospectus can be obtained by post also on a payment of Rs. 250/- by demand draft only. Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from website, which may be sent along with Demand Draft for Rs. 200/.
