Personal interviews will be conducted during 15th March, 2013 to 30th March, 2013
Financial Assistance: The University facilitates educational loans to cover partial/full tuition fees and living expenses
The University also provides support for loan repayment (interest waiver or subsidy, part reimbursement of the loan etc) to students who join the social sector or pursue higher education in related domains
In addition scholarships are available for students who meet the economic eligibility criteria based on family income
In a limited number of highly deserving cases, additional financial support is available for students already working in the not-for-profit sector with minimum 2 years of work experience
Financial assistance schemes may also be available for applicants from other sectors, keen on pursuing a career in the social sector
No deserving candidate having been selected through the university admissions procedure will be denied admission on grounds of financial needs
Sponsored Candidates: The University welcomes candidates sponsored by other organisations
Sponsored candidates go through the normal selection process and are eligible to apply for financial assistance schemes as well
Placement: The social sector today offers many fulfilling career opportunities
Growing public investments, landmark legislations like the Right to Education Act, large government programmes like NREGA, NRLM etc and the increasing participation of NGOs from policy making to implementation and monitoring, call for talented professionals in large numbers
The university has a placement cell with active student and faculty participation which works with potential employers to create career opportunities for students through campus and off campus placements
Students can look forward to exciting roles in organisations engaged in grass roots level work, academia, policy think tanks, politics, government programmes, multilateral agencies, corporate social responsibility departments of companies, funding organisations and the media

Candidates can also write to the Admissions Cell, Azim Premji University, PES Institute of Technology Campus, Pixel Park, B Block, Electronics City, Hosur Road (Beside NICE Road), Bangalore-560100
Candidates are requested to enclose a self addressed A4 sized thick envelope, affixed with a postage stamp of Rs 50/-
The envelope should be accompanied with a request letter containing details of name, address and contact number of the candidate
The application form, application fee payment challan and information brochure will be mailed back to the candidate
An application fee of Rs 250/- is payable to apply for all programmes
The fee remains the same whether candidates apply for one or more programmes

Master’s Degree in any discipline and a professional teaching certification (B.Ed., D.Ed., B.EL.Ed, M.A. Ed. or equivalent). Minimum two years of teaching experience at School or Pre- University levels.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Selection based on written test & interview examining proficiency in English, analytical ability, general & social awareness and knowledge of relevant subjects. Written test at 28 centres across India on Sunday, February 26, 2012.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE & STUDENT SUPPORT: Financial assistance through educational loans will be available for all students to cover full or part tuition and accommodation expenses. In addition, scholarships may be provided for eligible students, based on an assessment of needs. Working professionals may be eligible for additional financial support schemes. Student support systems include academic tutorials, language, communication skills and counselling. Student accommodation provided as required.
PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE: Placement support will be provided to avail of career opportunities in government, industry, NGOs & multi-lateral agencies. Suitable students will be considered for employment at Azim Premji Foundation on successfully completing the course.
