A candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must, at the time of application, hold a master’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/ Physically disabled candidates) or an equivalent grade of M.Phil degree of the university, a deemed university or other university incorporated by any law for the time being in force and recognized by the university
All the eligible candidates who wish to take admission in Ph.D programme either through Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) or National Level Test such as NET/GATE (whichever applicable)/JEST and state level eligibility test such as MPSLET accredited by the UGC or Teacher Fellowship holders or holders of M.Phil degree through entrance test will be required to apply in a prescribed form available on university website http://www.dauniv.ac.in
Date of Exam: The date of examination for DET is 04th November, 2012, 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. at the respective DET centres
The candidate appearing in the DET is required to bring photo copy of the application form alongwith the proof of the form submitted at the DET centre
No separate admit card will be issued
The verification of the candidature will be carried out by the invigilators from the original application form submitted at the centre
Candidates who have qualified national level test such as NET/GATE/JEST etc and state level test such as MPSLET accredited by the UGC or teacher fellowship holders or holders of M.Phil degree through entrance test will be exempted from DET
However, it is mandatory for them to submit their duly filled application alongwith the application fee of Rs 1000/- (Rs one thousand only) to the respective Head of the department
The question paper will comprise of 100 multiple choice based objective type questions of one mark each, of three hours duration
There will be no negative marking
The candidates must score minimum 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/Physically handicapped) to qualify the Doctoral Entrance Test
The level of questions for DET will be as per post graduate standard of DAVV, Indore
The students can appear in DET of the subject of their post graduate (PG) degree or in its allied subjects
