Details:
· The venue of NMAT (School / College - Name of the Centre) will be communicated to the candidates in due course of time through the website. You are required to download the call letter from Institute website www.nmims.edu. No separate call letter will be mailed or posted.
· The University reserves the right to change/ cancel any centre.
· The candidates should note that it is important for them to perform well relative to other candidates in each of the three sections of the test as the score of each section and the overall score are used to short list the candidates for the second round and may also be used for the final ranking as well.
· Details of candidates short-listed by NMIMS University for group discussion and/or Personal 2 interview (GD/PI) will be uploaded on NMIMS website www.nmims.edu on January 25, 2008 by 5.00 P.M. Shortlisted candidates will have to send a DD for Rs. 950/- drawn in favour of “SVKM’s NMIMS” payable at Mumbai, latest by the date given on the cover page. The GD/PI schedule giving details of the date & venue can be viewed from the website. Candidates are required to download the call letter from website www.nmims.edu.
· After the GD / PI round, the offers are made by NMIMS to successful candidates. The basis of ranking and final selection of successful candidates is based on the performance in NMAT, GD / PI & work experience including academic performance etc.
· Total number of seats: 240 for MBA in Mumbai Campus. (15% seats will be reserved for Management Quota). Students will also be admitted for the Bangalore Campus of the University, details of which will be notified to short listed candidates. The University being a Gujarati Linguistic Minority University, appropriate provision of seats will be made for the Linguistic Minority subject to other conditions.
· If at any stage, it is found that a candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria or the information furnished by him/her in the application form is incorrect, his/her application for admission to the course, even if selected, will stand cancelled. Candidates appearing for the NMAT, GD/PI will do so at their own risk of eventually forfeiting their admission for want of meeting the eligibility criteria.
· Canvassing in any form for admission will disqualify the candidate.
· Regular classes will commence from the date given on the cover page unless otherwise announced.
· All matters of dispute will be subject to the legal jurisdiction of Mumbai only.
· All despatches will be made by post/courier. NMIMS will not be responsible for postal/courier delay/non-delivery.
Structure of the Test - NMAT
NMAT is an objective type test designed and developed to ascertain the aptitude of the candidates to undergo Post Graduate Programme in Management. Aptitude is the potential of an individual to perform subsequent to proper training. Therefore NMAT is designed to identify the potential.
The NMAT has three Sections. The total of 150 questions are to be attempted in 120 minutes. The test structure is given below:-
