VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE - 2013) April 15, 2013

Nationality:  The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National.

Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2013 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2013, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

ü        The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).

ü        Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

ü        High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

ü        General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.

Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination: Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2013 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).

The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:

ü        Candidates belonging to SC/ST category

ü        Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the VITEEE are eligible for all the 13 B.Tech. Degree Programmes.

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the VITEEE are eligible only for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Bio-Medical Engineering and Biotechnology programmes.

Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1991 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2013. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate /Birth proof certificate will be considered authentic.

Admission Procedure: The admission will be purely on the basis of the marks secured in the VITEEE-2013, conducted by VIT University.

Candidates who have not appeared for the VITEEE are not eligible for admission.

The candidates will be short-listed based on their entrance examination marks and will be called for the counselling

We do not accept cash. We collect fees only in the form of Demand Draft.

Availability of offline [OMR] Forms

The Application Forms will be issued from 28th February, 2013

The Prospectus and the information brochure for the BTech Degree programme – 2013, along with the necessary enclosures which include the Application Form and a printed self-addressed envelope, can be obtained against cash payment of  950/-.

Candidates can obtain from the designated branches of post offices on cash payment of 950/- (OR)

By sending a Demand Draft for 950/- [Compterised DD] drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’ payable at Vellore to the address of Admissions Officer, VIT University, Vellore with a request letter containing the complete address with Mobile number (OR)

By handing over a DD of 950/- in person at VIT University from the following addresses:
