Eligibility:

MBBS / B.Sc Nursing, Diploma Nursing, Allied Health Sciences (AHS) Degree / Diploma and M.Sc Degree Courses Admissions-2013

Group A: Candidates should have been born on or before 31st December, 1996 (maximum age limit 40 years for AHS degree courses and 30 years for B.Sc Nursing and 35years for B.Sc Nursing SC/ST)

MBBS: A candidate for admission to medical course must have 60% marks at +2 level in each of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology taken together) and have an aggregate of 140/200 in these subjects, both at qualifying and competitive examinations and should have passed in English (60% in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC; 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC; and 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates)

B.Sc (Nursing): Candidates should have a pass with 45% aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)

Only unmarried women candidates are eligible to apply

BOT/BPT/B.Sc MLT/B.Sc Optometry/BMRSc (Medical Record)/B.Sc Audiology and Speech Language Pathology/B.Sc Critical Care Technology/B.Sc Dialysis Technology/B.Sc Nuclear Medical Technology: Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

B.Sc Prosthetics and Orthotics: Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics

B.Sc: Radiology and Imaging Technology, Radiotherapy Technology, Medical Sociology, Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion Care Technology, Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology, Neuro-electrophysiology, Emergency and Trauma Care Technology, Cardiac Technology: Candidates should have a pass in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Group B: Applicants have to be at least 17 years old and less than 45 years of age as on 31st December, 2013

Ability to handle English as a medium of learning is important for all courses

Diploma in Nursing: 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) securing pass with aggregate 40% marks

Unmarried men or women only

Age between 17 and 22 years by 31st December, 2013 (born between 31st December, 1991 and 31st December, 1996)

Diploma in Radiodiagnosis (MRT): 10+2 level English, Physics, Biology or Botany/Zoology

Diploma in Urology Technology: 10+2 level English, Physics, Biology or Botany/Zoology with minimum of 50% marks

Diploma in Anaesthesia Technology: 10+2 level English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Diploma in Hand and Leprosy Physiotherapy: 10+2 level English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Diploma in Optometry: 40% in 10+2 or its equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics: 10+2 level English, Physics and Biology/Mathematics

Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech: 10+2 level English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 40% in each subject

PG Diploma in Histopathology Lab Technology: Pass with minimum 50% marks in B.Sc MLT, B.Sc with Biology or Botany/Zoology or Biochemistry or Microbiology as main subject; or B.Sc Physics or Chemistry as main with Botany or Zoology as ancillary

PG Diploma in Medical Microbiology: B.Sc with English as the medium of instruction and Biology (Botany/ Zoology) as main subject, B.Sc MLT, B.Sc Microbiology as main or ancillary subject from a recognized university with 1st class (students who have a post graduate degree need not apply)

PG Diploma in Medical Virology: B.Sc (MLT) or B.Sc + DMM or B.Sc + DCLT or B.Sc Microbiology

PG Diploma in Dialysis Therapy: B.Sc with English and main subjects Physics or Chemistry or Zoology or Botany or Biology

PG Diploma in Cardiac Technology: B.Sc with English and as main subject Physics or Chemistry or Zoology or Botany or Biology

PG Diploma in Advanced Respiratory Therapy: Bachelor of Respiratory Therapy/Bachelor of Physics Therapy/B.Sc with Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Botany or Zoology/Microbiology/Biochem as main

PG Diploma in Cytogenetics: B.Sc with 1st class in Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or MLT

PG Diploma in Genetic Diagnosis Tech: B.Sc with 1st class in Botany/Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology

PG Diploma in Assisted Reproductive Technology: B.Sc with Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Medical Laboratory Technology (age not more than 30 years)

PG Diploma in Health Management: Bachelors degree in any discipline or direct master’s in any discipline through a recognized university

PG Diploma in Hospital Administration: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university

PG Diploma in Health Economics, Policy and Financial Management: Bachelor’s degree or a direct master’s in any discipline from any recognized university

Fellowship in Hospital Admin: MBBS/BDS or a master’s degree in any discipline

PG Diploma in Clinical Pastoral Counseling: BTh or BD Degree of Serampore University or its recognized equivalent or any degree (B.A. or B.Sc or B.Com or BBA) with three years of involvement in some form of lay ministry of the Church (no age limit)

Fellowship in Analytical Clinical Pharmacology: M.Pharm (any discipline), M.Sc (Chemistry)

Diploma in Hospital Equipment Maintenance: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics)

Diploma in Hospital Pharmacy Practice: 2 year Diploma in Pharmacy (ER 1991) including 500 hours of Internship/practical training from institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India

PG Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy: B.Pharm from any recognized university preferably with 1st class

PG Diploma in Dietetics: B.Sc Home Science or B.Sc in Nutrition and Dietetics

M.Sc Epidemiology: MBBS/BDS/M.Pharm/M.Sc in Nursing/Biostatistics/ Statistics/ Nutrition/ Biochemistry/ Anatomy/Physiology/Pharmacology/Microbiology and other Medical related M.Sc/M.A. Social Work/Sociology/Anthropology Psychology/ Social Psychology/Health Education/BVSc/ BAMS/ BUMS/ BHMS/ BSMS/ MPT/MOT

M.Sc Biostatistics: B.Sc Statistics as main or B.Sc degree in any subject with Statistics as ancillary/allied

M.Sc Medical Physics: B.Sc with Physics as main subject

Selection Procedure: All candidates whose applications are in order and complete will be registered and will go through the competitive process of entrance examinations and interviews for selection

All admissions are based on inter-se merit

Hall Ticket: Hall tickets will be available on the website to download 15 days before the examination

Entrance Exam: The entrance examination for the Group A/B courses will be on 17th May, 2013, Friday at the following centres

Bangalore, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kottayam, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Puducherry, Salem, Thiruvananthapuram, Vellore, Vijayawada, Penang (Malaysia)

The Group A and Group B Science examination will consist of multiple choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability with emphasis on Speed and Accuracy and a few questions on issues of current topical interest

The examination will be conducted in English

At the time of the interviews for MBBS and B.Sc Nursing courses, Christian students who have applied under the sponsored category will be given a test on Bible Knowledge (50 multiple choice questions)

The general paper (Non Science) for Group-B will consist of multiple choice questions of a general nature, including very basic science, general knowledge, current awareness and general ability

How To Apply:

Application Form: Candidates may apply online at the CMC website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 18th February, 2013 onwards

The basic administrative fee of Rs 800/- and registration fees all UG degree courses Rs.500/- for each course, all AHS Diploma and Diploma Nursing courses Rs 100/- for each course and M.Sc Rs 500/- for each course, can be paid as a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India

A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form

Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan

Send the original challan with the application form

The fee can be paid by demand draft in favour of CMC Vellore Association a/c on any scheduled bank, payable in Vellore

Keep your demand draft ready before filling the application form

Write your name and application number on the back of the demand draft before dispatching

Fee can be paid online payment using payment gateway
