Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET Feburary 2014 Notification and Dates. Central Board of Secondary Education CTET 2014 dates for application. The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-2014) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII

When is Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February-2014

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 16th February, 2014 (Sunday)

Candidates can apply only on-line for CTET-February, 2014 on CBSE/CTET website www.ctet.nic.in

Eligibility:

Minimum educational qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)

Senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education; or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education); or
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education

Minimum educational qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage) 

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education; or

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); or

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); or

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or

appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); or

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or

appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.-Ed/B.Sc.Ed; or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed (Special

Education)
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification for eligibility to apply shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to

SC/ST/OBC/differently abled

Candidates who are appearing in the final year of bachelor degree in education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc are provisionally admitted and their CTET certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid examinations

The candidate not having any of the above qualification shall not be eligible for appearing in Central Teacher Eligibility Test

Pattern of Exam (CTET)

The CTET examination will be of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs)

There will be no negative marking

There will be 2 papers of CTET

Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V

Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII

A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II)

Fees: Fees for CTET-FEB 2014 Exam

General/OBC Rs 500/- (Paper-I or Paper-II), Rs 800/- (Paper-I/II); SC/ST/Diff abled Rs 250/- (Paper-I or Paper-II), Rs 400/- (Paper-I/II)

Application Submission: Online application has to be submitted by accessing the websites www.cbse.nic.inwww.ctet.nic.in 

The candidate should supply all the details while filling up the on-line application
Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated confirmation page after successful submission of data, which has to be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit, after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, and also with the original CBSE copy of challan if fees paid through challan

The fee can be remitted in the following ways

Through challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE account with Syndicate Bank or e-Post office in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi

By Debit/Credit card

Before submission of application form, make the following preparations decide the mode of payment of fee

Through Debit/Credit card using on-line gateway payment facility; or
Depositing in CBSE bank account with Syndicate Bank or depositing in CBSE Account with Post Office directly by downloading the challan form from the website www.cbse.nic.in, www.ctet.nic.in 

If decided to pay fee through Debit/Credit card, check the validity of the card and keep it ready with you while logging on to website for submitting application form
If decided to pay fee off-line mode, choose the Bank or e-Post Office for depositing the fee through challan/ deposit slip downloaded from website www.cbse.nic.in, www.ctet.nic.in after completing Part-I of registration

After depositing fee in the Bank/e-Post Office, the deposit slip bearing application registration number, name and address of the bank branch with branch code/post office with pin code where fee is deposited and transaction ID number be kept ready with you while logging on to website for final submission of Part-II of the application form

The application form/confirmation page (also original CBSE copy of challan, if fees paid through Bank/Post office challan) duly completed in all respect, should be sent to CBSE, CTET Unit, after affixing a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided, in an envelope of size 12”x9” super scribed in bold letters application for CTET-FEB 2014 by registered/speed post so as to reach positively by 07th November, 2013 in the CBSE office on the following address mentioned on the computer generated address slip

The Assistant Secretary (CTET), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110092

The confirmation page sent by courier shall not be accepted

Candidate should not enclose original/photocopy of any education or caste certificate along with the confirmation page

Board will not be responsible for sending back the certificates/documents to such candidates
The candidate must retain a photocopy of his/her filled in confirmation page, original receipt of postal dispatch and candidate copy of challan if fees paid through Bank/Post office challan for future correspondence

Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

Applicability: The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Govt (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and NCT of Delhi

CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET

Schools owned and managed by the State Govt/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Govt

However, a State Govt can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET

Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment

Submission of on-line application: 11th October, 2013 to 31st October, 2013

Last date for online submission of application: 31st October, 2013

Last date for receipt of confirmation page in CSBE, CTET unit: 07th November, 2013

Last date for receipt of confirmation page for the candidates belonging to remote areas (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti Distt and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba Distt of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep):15th November, 2013

Date of Examination: 16th February, 2014, 09.30 to 12.00 Hours (Paper-); 14.00 to 16.00 Hours (Paper-II)
