  • About All India Institute of Ayurveda:

    The All India Institute of Ayurveda has been conceived as an Apex Institute for Ayurveda as an autonomous Institution under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. It aims at bringing a synergy between Traditional Wisdom of Ayurveda and Modern tools and technology. The institute offers postgraduate and doctoral courses in various disciplines of Ayurveda and focus on fundamental research of Ayurveda, drug development, standardization, quality control, safety evaluation and scientific validation of Ayurveda system. Institute has a 200 bed referral hospital for facilitating clinical research. The Institute has 12 Departments and 25 specialty clinics with interdisciplinary research laboratories wherein scholars have access for Post Graduate & Doctoral programs every year. The hospital is equipped with state of the art modern diagnostic tools and techniques which is used in teaching, training and research. The patient care is done primarily through Ayurveda of tertiary level. These institutes also have an international collaborative centre for global promotion and research in Ayurveda.

    Eligibility:

    MD/MS in Ayurveda

    OR

    Master Degree in any of allied/interdisciplinary subjects such as all disciplines under AYUSH, Diet & Nutrition, Pharmaceutical Sciences / M. Pharma (Ayurveda), Pharmacology Sciences/ MD or MS in Allopathic Medicine, Medicinal Plant Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Food Science & Technology, etc.

    NOTE:

    1.     The qualifying Examination should be with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 Point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale whenever grading system is followed.

    2.     A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, maybe allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) /differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the University Grants Commission from time to time, or for those who obtained their Master's degree prior to 19 September,1991. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in appoint scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.

    3.     Percentage of marks will not be applicable in case of the candidates who passes a qualification for which marks are not awarded by the university concerned e.g. MD/MS Courses of Delhi University.

    4.     The UGC-NET/JRF/SLET/AYUSH-NET/CSIR-NET qualified candidates shall be exempted from appearing in entrance examination. However, they will have to appear in the interview.


    How to apply:

    Registration fee:

    a)    Registration fee (non-refundable) for the entrance examination is as under:

    ·          SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) 2500/-

    ·          For all other categories (Unreserved, OBC etc.): 3000/-

    b)    Registration fee has to be paid during online registration process through one of the available online payment options.

    c)     Please note that the online registration process shall be treated as completed only after realization of the online registration fee.

    d)    Registration fee will not be refunded/adjusted/charged back in any circumstances

    Eligibility:

    There shall be on Entrance Test for admission to the Ayurved Vachaspati (MD/MS–Ayurved) under the Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines and said test will be conducted by the University of Delhi. Admission shall be made in order of merit basis of result of the Entrance Test. Minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test shall be 50 marks out of 100 i.e. 50% for General category 45 marks out of 100 i.e. 45% case of OBC category and 40 marks of 100 i.e. 40% marks in case of SC/ST category.

    The selected candidates will be required to undergo medical examination by a constituted Medical Board at the assigned institution at their own cost on the specified date. A candidate shall not be allowed to join the course, if he/she is found medically unfit for the course


    How to apply:

    The candidates may obtain Bulletin of Information (BOI) and Application Form office of the Joint Registrar, Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 in the following manner:

    (a) For General/OBC Category

    (i) By hand in person against Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque of ` 1500/- (One Thousand & Five Hundred Only in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi

    (ii) By Post against Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque of `1550/- (One Thousand & Five Fifty Only) in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi

    (b) For SC/ST/Pwd Category

    (i) By hand in person against Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque of `1300/- (One Thousand & Three Hundred Only) in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi

    (ii) By Post against Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque of `1350/- (One Thousand & Three Hundred Fifty Only) in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi payable at Delhi
