·          Paediatric Endocrinology: MD/DNB (Paediatrics)

·          Emergency Medicine: MD Medicine

·          Geriatric Medicine: MD/DNB in Medicine

·          Life Style Disease Management: MD Medicine/Community and Family Medicine Degree/MD Physiology or equivalent.

·          Breast Imaging: MD/DNB in Radiology or Radio-diagnosis

·          Haemato-Oncology: MD/DNB (Medicine/Paediatrics)

·          Infectious Diseases: One seat each for MD/DNB (Microbiology) and MD/DNB (Medicine)

·          Gastro Radiology, Vascular Radiology: MD/DNB in Radiology or Radio-diagnosis

·          Apheresis Technology & Blood Component Therapy: MD/DNB (Pathology/Transfusion Medicine)

·          Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstruction: MD/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or M.Ch./DNB in Urology

Essential Qualification

Medical: M.B.B.S./BDS/AYUSH (Alternative system of Medicine in India) degree.

Non-Medical: Bachelor’s degree in any stream.

Sponsored: M.B.B.S./BDS/AYUSH/Health Sciences degree with three years’ experience/In-house candidate working in AIIMS Rishikesh or any other Govt. Institute

Method of Selection

Selections for certificate courses in High Altitude Medicine are made through written examination & interview.

Stage I: Written test carrying 80 marks of 90 minutes duration in subject candidate has applied for. Question paper will consist of 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

·          A candidate is eligible to appear in Entrance Examination if he/she:

·          Is an Indian citizen.

·          has attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on 31st of December of the year of admission (2019) should have passed 10th Standard from Hindi or English Medium.

Eligibility criteria for admission to Ph.D. Course:
A Candidate seeking admission to course of study leading to award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess at least one of following qualifications of a recognized University/Institute:
1 (a) Medical Sciences
MBBS /BDS degree or equivalent with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile in Professional examinations. MD/MS/MDS/MCH in subject concerned or Diplomat of National Board of Examinations with minimum of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile.
1.     (b) Bachelor degree in Alternative Medicine (AYUSH) with minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Professional examinations.
(c) Nursing Qualification: Candidates holding MSc degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent percentile in Nursing specialty will also be eligible for PhD admission in College of Nursing.
2.    Non-Medical
For non-medical Candidate eligibility shall be Master degree (02-year course) awarded by Indian University or equivalent in subject as per requirement of project. Candidates holding MSc (Other than MSc Nursing), M Biotech/ M Tech degree / M Com / MBA or equivalent will be eligible for non-medical qualification category. Candidates possessing Masters Degree through distant learning course shall not be eligible. Candidates having eligibility under non-medical category should have at least 55% marks or equivalent in last eligibility examination qualified.
Non-medical candidates should have preferably qualified in any one of following national entrance tests in last 2 years:

Candidate who have qualified SRF/JRF/would not require to appear in PhD Entrance Exam. SRF/JRF/ Internal candidates with fund for project will be given preference.
3.     Relaxation in Qualification for all Candidates. A relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% or an equivalent relaxation of percentile / grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and female Candidates.
