About Baba Sahib Bhimrao Ambedkar University:
The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow is one of the youngest central universities in the country. The jurisdiction of this residential University is over the entire state of Uttar Pradesh. The campus Vidya Vihar is located off Rae Bareli Road, about 10 kms south of the Charbagh Railway Station, Lucknow.

The University comprises of the following five schools.

·          School for Ambedkar Studies

·          School for Information Science & Technology

·          School for Environmental Sciences

·          School for Bio-Sciences & Bio-technology

·          School for Legal Studies

It consists of mainly two departments:

(a) Department of Economics and

(b) Department of History

The Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained from the Admission Cell, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Vidya Vihar, Rae Bareli Road, Lucknow-226025, either in person on payment of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 75/- for SC/ST/PH) or through post by sending a written request accompanied with a Demand Draft of Rs. 350/- (Rs. 100 for SC/ST/PH) drawn in favour of the “Finance Officer, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University” payable at Lucknow. The applicant should write is/her name and the complete mailing address on the back side of the Bank Draft. The Application form can also be downloaded from the University website.

Submission of Application

The Application Form, completed in all respects, should reach the office of the Coordinator, Admission Cell, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (A Central University) Vidya Vihar, Rae Bareli Road, Lucknow-226025 by post or submitted in person. If the Application Form has been downloaded from the University Website, a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 75/- for SC/ST/PH) shouod be enclosed along with the Application Form.
