a)    Candidates admitted in M.Tech. programs with valid GATE 2019 / GATE 2020 / GATE 2021 score will be considered to receive scholarships only if approved and amount released by the funding agency.

b)    In addition to the above, upto 20 % of tuition fee waiver may be awarded to GATE qualified candidates having GATE score better than 90 percentiles.

Selection Procedures:

·          GATE Qualified Candidates: Based on GATE scores and Academic Performance (80% weightage to GATE and 20% weightage to Academic Performance).

·          Non-GATE Candidates: Based on Interview and Academic Performance (20% weightage to Interview and 80% weightage to Academic Performance).

Fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. 

4.     Applicants should proceed to fill the Online Application Form only after they satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria.

Please Note:

·          The counselling cum interviews of the shortlisted applicants will be conducted online through video conferencing (Google Meet). All applicants are therefore advised to download the Google Meet App in advance and be available for the counselling / interview.

·          Intimation of Counselling cum Interview will be sent through email to the applicants indicating date and tentative time slot.

·          The Counselling cum Interview of the applicants will be conducted on 26.11.2021.

CANDIDATES MUST SATISFY THE FOLLOWING ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1.     Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1996 are eligible for admission. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates who were born on or after 1st October 1991 are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board (Class X, High School) certificate only will be taken as authentic.

2.     Candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII), or its equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination.

3.     Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for B.Arch. Program shall be as under:

4.     Candidate must have appeared in JEE-Main 2021 and have CRL Rank in B.Arch. Paper (JEE-Main 2021).

NOTES:

·          In case any Board awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent percentage of marks would be as based on the procedure prescribed by the Board or in case, the Board does not prescribe any procedure, it will be GPA x 10.

·          Candidate must have adequate proficiency in written & spoken English to cope with the program as all instruction and examinations will be in English only.

·          At any level of the studies [Class X or Class XII], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board.

Selection Procedure:

Provisional selections to B.Arch. Program will be made as per the following norms:

1.     Merit list will be prepared based on All India Rank (CRL Rank in B.Arch. Paper) obtained by the candidates in JEE (MAIN) 2021. However, candidates must meet the age criteria and other minimum academic requirements [see eligibility criteria].

2.     Selection will be based on various reservation criteria of State and Central Government.

1)    Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] (10+2+3 system).

2)    Candidates must have minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Honours / aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in graduation. [The percentage of marks obtained by a candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the University / Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree]

3)    Candidates appearing for final examinations of their Bachelor’s program in 2021 can also apply, provided they have obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item 2 above) based on latest available grades / marks at the time of applying, and if selected can join the program provisionally.

At the time of reporting for the ‘Personal Interview’ such applicant must bring a certificate in original from the Principal of Institute stating that:

a)    He/she will have appeared for examination in all subjects required for obtaining his/her Bachelor’s degree.

b)    He/she has obtained requisite marks or equivalent (as per item (2) above), based on latest available grades / marks.

Selected candidates will be required to sign an undertaking at the time of admission on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 20/- (Refer Annexure -1).

Further, their admission will be confirmed only when they submit the marksheets and a certificate of having passed the Bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification with requisite marks as per item (2) above. They must submit proof of passing their final examinations with requisite marks by 31st December 2021. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the admission.

4)    Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distancelearning program are eligible only if (a) the program are recognized by the DECIGNOU (b) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks in average calculated as per item (2) above. They must carry original copy of pass certificate, marksheets of qualifying examination and proof of Institute recognized by the DEC-IGNOU along with their application during the GD &PI. [Appearing candidate in distance learning programs, whose results are yet to be declared, are not eligible to apply].

In case, a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

6) BC-I / BC-II of Bihar State for admission at BIT Patna Campus: The candidates must have passed their qualifying exam from the State of Bihar and should be BC-I (EBC)/BC-II (OBC)/ BC (OBC) Girls of Bihar State only. A certificate should have been issued on or after 1st April 2021.

7) Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS): As per the Govt. of India norms.
