    Eligibility:
    Eligibility for admission in the Ph.D. Programme
    Candidate for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade "B" in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institute accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
    A relaxation of 5% of marks, i.e. 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other category of candidate as per the decision of the Commission from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
    Admission Process
    The admission shall be based on the criteria notified by the University, keeping in view the guidelines/norms in this regard issued by the UGC and other statutory bodies concerned and taking into account the reservation policy of the State Government of Uttar Pradesh from time to time into different Vertical and Horizontal-categories viz. unreserved, reserved for OBC/SC/ST/Differently-Abled and so classified for each Department/Subject.

    How to apply:
    General Guidelines for filling up the application form
    1. The Ph.D. Application form has to be filled online on the University website for admission to the Ph.D. Program.
    2. The Online Application form will be filled by candidates required to appear for the Entrance Test as well as candidates exempted from the Entrance Test for admission to the Ph.D. program.
    3. Before applying online, candidates are required to keep ready the following documents in JPEG format for uploading as per the prescribed size:
    ·          Soft copy of colour photograph
    ·          Soft copy of the signature
    ·          Category Certificate (if applicable)
    ·          10th & 12th level Mark sheet
    ·          UG Mark sheet and Degree Certificate
    ·          PG Mark sheet and Degree Certificate
    ·          Mark sheet of previous semester(s) for candidates appearing in the qualifying degree exam
    ·          UGC (NETJRF)/CSIR (NETJRF)/GATE/GPAT/Teacher Fellowship/ ICMR/ICAR/DST-INSPIRE award letter.
    4. University shall not be liable for the correctness and authenticity of the information/ documents provided in the online application.
    5. The University has the right to cancel, at any stage, the admission for the candidate who is found admitted to a course to which he/she is not entitled, being ineligible in accordance with the statues and regulations in force or it is found that the documents submitted by the candidate are not genuine.
    6. Obtained printout of the application form with all the enclosures should reach to:

    8. Merely submission of an application form does not constitute a claim for a seat or admission to the Ph.D. program.

    1.       Request for Application Form and Academic Brochure by post should be addressed to the Director SFS, Bundelkhand University, Kanpur Road, Jhansi 284128, and must be accompanied with Bank Draft of Rs. 1075/- (575/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi 284128. Forms are also available at the University Cash Counter on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST)

    2.       Statutory Reservations are applicable as per the UP Govt. /University Norms

    3.       Application Form can also be downloaded from the university website, www.bujhansi.org. However the completed form shall only be entertained if the same is accompanied by the Bank Draft of Rs. 1075/- (Rs. 575/- for SC/ST)

    4.       University reserves all rights regarding admission to various courses.

    5.       University shall not be responsible for any postal delays.

    6.       Completed forms shall be accepted through Registered Post or Speed Post only.
