About Central University of Bihar:
Established under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009), Central University of Bihar (CUB) is an institution of higher studies situated in the state of Bihar. With the motto, i.e. ‘Collective Reasoning’, the university has been organising its academic curriculum from temporary premises in Patna and Gaya.

As stated in Section 5 of the Act, the objective of the university shall be:

“... to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to make special provision for integrated courses in humanities, social sciences, science and technology in its educational programmes; to take appropriate measures for promoting innovations in teaching-learning process and inter-disciplinary studies and research; to educate and train manpower for the development of the country; to establish linkages with industries for the promotion of science and technology; and to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people, their intellectual, academic and cultural development."

Completed application form with required documents and fee of Rs. 250 through a bank draft favouring Central University of Bihar Payable at Patna is to be submitted to the Deputy Registrar Central University of Bihar Camp office BIT Patna P.O. B.V. College Patna 800014 latest by march 13 2010. The written test will be held at 11 a.m. on the 14th March 2010 at the University. The result of the written test will be published on the website. Interview gruop discussion of the short listed candidates will be held on March 18th 2010. Admission will be completed by March 20 2010. Classes begin 22nd March.

The reservation rules of UGC for SC/ST/OBC shall apply.
