- About Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology:
Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram was born on 24th Nov. 1881 in Garhi Sampla (a village in old Rohtak Distt.) in the family of Ch. Sukh Ram & Mrs. Sirya Devi. He was a renowned educationist & named as father of reform for farmers. He has established Jat Anglo Sansthan on 26th March, 1913 after completion of his Graduation in Law. In 1916, he became president of Congress Party & continued till 1919. He formed Unionist Party in 1923. He became Agriculture Minister in 1924 & continued till 1926.
He remained as development Minister from 1937-45 after his party came into power. He was awarded with various awards of the likes of Rai Bahadur (1919), Deenbandhu (1942), Rehbar-e-azam (1944). Besides being a luminary figure in agricultural & educational reforms, he was involved in various developmental policies for joint

Eligibility:Additional Eligibility Conditions for Part-time PhD Programme
i. An applicant for the course on part time basis should, in addition to the above qualification, be a regular employee of an educational Institute/organization and must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer that his/her official duties permit him/her to devote sufficient time to research;
ii. Facilities for pursuing research should be available at the applicant’s place of work recognized for the chosen field of research; and
iii. The research student shall be required to be present at the University at least during working hours for a continuous period of not less than one month in every year of the Doctoral programme.
How to apply:The Prospectus containing application form and other details is available at Reception-cum-Enquiry counter (Administrative Block) on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 250/- in case of SC/ST/BC candidates of Haryana) w.e.f. 20.12.10 either in cash or through Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, DCRUST payable at Sonepat. The prospectus and application may also be downloaded from university website www.dcrustm.ora or www.dcrustm.ac.in. Such applications must be attached with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 250/- in case of SC/ST/BC candidates of Haryana). Candidates applying for more than one department should submit a separate application for each department.
C. V. Raman Research Scholarships of Rs. 23000/- (including contingency expenses) per month is available for Full Time bonafide Haryana resident candidates as per the guidelines of Haryana State Counseling Society (www.hscs.org). Other scholarships offered by HSCST, UGC, AICTE etc. can also be availed directly or through the University for the Programme.
The entrance test will be conducted on Saturday, the January 22, 2011. The candidates who have qualified UGC/CSIR/DBT (JRF/SRF) and the regular teachers of this University (DCRUST) and its constituent colleges having minimum 3 years experience in this University or its constituent college as on the last date of submission of completed application forms are exempted from entrance test. Applications, complete in all respect, must reach Prof. R. K. Garg, Research Coordinator of the University latest by January 14, 2011 upto 5.00 pm. incomplete applications or those received after last date shall not be entertained.
