- About Directorate of Technical Education Government of Kerala: Directorate of Technical Educationis dealing with all the technical education activities in the state. Currently there are 12 Engineering Colleges (9 Govt. Colleges and 3 Govt. aided Colleges), 51 Polytechnic Colleges (45 Govt. Polytechnics and 6 Govt. aided Polytechnics), 3 Fine Arts Colleges, 39 Technical High Schools, 17 Commercial Institutes and 42 Tailoring and Garment Making Centres functioning all over the state, under the control of the Directorate. In addition to this there are around 150 self financing Engineering Colleges both in the Govt. and private sector functioning in the state. There are two Regional Directorates and one Curriculum Development Centre are functioning as under the department. A Supervisory Development Centre and an Industry Institute Interaction Cell are functioning for the well being of the faculty and students of the Institutions. There is an Examination Wing working under the department for the conduct of diploma level examinations.

Eligibility:a. Candidates must have passed +2 or equivalent Examinations.
b. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2021. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit.
How to apply:Application Fee and its payment options
Application form, prospectus and guidelines for online submission of application form are available in the websites. Applicants can pay the fees online (Internet Banking/UPI payments/Credit or Debit card transactions) while submitting their applications. Application form number has to be specified for online Fee payment. The fee receipt in pdf format has to be attached along with the application. Application fee is Rs. 300/-and Rs. 150/-in case of SC/ST Candidates)
Submission of Application
Applications should be submitted online by log on to the website or www.admissions.dtekerala.gov.in The different entries in the application are to be filled with extreme care, as this information is used for preparing the rank list. The procedure of online submission of application will be completed only by uploading all supporting documents and certificate. Candidates are directed to keep a copy of the print out of confirmation page of the online application form for further reference. Do not send the print out of the confirmation page and supporting documents to the office of the DTE by post/ E mail/ in person. Candidates are liable to produce all the original documents as and when required by DTE/ admitting authority for verification.
