Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories).

Method of calculating marks at qualifying examination for deciding eligibility

·          While deciding the eligibility of the Candidates following procedure shall be adopted,-

·          The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to two places after decimal and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 49.50% to 49.99% then it shall be rounded to 50% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 49.01% to 49.49% shall be rounded to 49% for deciding the eligibility.

·          If letter grades are assigned at SSC, HSC, Diploma, Bachelor of Science or its equivalent examination, the Candidate must submit the certificate of conversion of letter grades into equivalent marks from the concerned Competent Authority or Board at the time of submission of Application Form. The eligibility shall be decided on the basis of equivalent marks.

·          If the Candidate reappears for the qualifying examination with all subjects then the marks obtained in the latest examination shall only be considered.

Additional Eligibility for Hospital & Healthcare Management:

Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the MBA Hospital & Health Systems Management Degree Courses Under Allied Health Sciences should have passed Degree in any one of the courses-viz. - Medical- MBBS, Indian Medicine, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BNYS, BUMS, Dental, BDS, Allied Health Sciences, B.Sc. (N), B.Pharm., B.Sc. (MLT), BPT & BOT B. Sc.

Additional Eligibility for admission to MBA Agribusiness Management Programme:

·          Candidates with minimum 50% marks (45% reserved categories) in graduation from following disciplines from a recognized university:

·          Bachelors' Degree Preferably in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Agrochemicals, Dairy Science / Technology, Fisheries, Food Science/ Technology, Forestry, Horticulture or ANY GRADUATE with interest or experience in Agribusiness or Graduates working in Agribusiness, NGO's, co-operative can apply.

Admission Process

Admissions to these category candidates shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates based on Entrance Test score.

Admit Card

For admission to the Ph. D. programme in a subject under any Faculty the applicant shall fulfill the following criteria:

1 Faculty of Medicine:

A candidate who has passed MD/MS Degree examination in the concerned subject from an Institute which is recognized by the Medical Council of India,

OR

Candidate having Diploma in National Board (DNB) qualification in the concerned subject

OR

A candidate having passed M. Optometry, M.Sc.(Medical) Degree examination from a recognized University in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

2 Faculty of Dentistry:

A candidate who has passed a Master in Dental Surgery (MDS) Degree examination in the concerned subject from an Institute which is recognized by the Dental Council of India.

3 Faculty of Nursing:

A candidate who has passed a Master of Science Degree examination in M. Sc. Nursing from a recognized university with a minimum of 55 % marks in aggregate.

4 Faculty of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics:

A candidate having passed Master Degree examination from a recognized university, i.e., (M.Sc. or M. Tech.) Degree from any branch of Science related to Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, such as Chemistry / Biology/ Life Sciences / Microbiology/ Biotechnology, Bioinformatics/Plant Environmental//Pharmacy/Environmental//Pharmacy/Agriculture Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences etc. with a minimum of 55% Aggregate Marks in aggregate.

5 Faculty of Management:

A candidate having passed Master Degree Examination in Management or Business Administration or Management related subjects with a minimum of 55 % marks from a recognized university in aggregate. The fellow members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and/or Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or of Institute of Company Secretaries of India shall be eligible, provided that they possess a Bachelor Degree of any statutory University with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Such candidate should have at least 5 years professional experience.

6 Faculty of Ayurved:

A candidate who has passed a Master Degree examination in Ayurved from a recognized Institute which is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine

7 Faculty of Homoeopathy

A candidate who has passed a Master Degree examination in Homoeopathy from a recognized Institute which is recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy Application for research in inter-disciplinary areas and from applicants belonging to a faculty or a subject other than the faculty or subject in which the research is proposed to be done and also from the international students, shall be considered on the basis of the proven ability and aptitude for researcher as evidenced by his/her publications/ research work/academics.

A relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non- creamy layer) differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Vidyapeeth from time to time. A candidate who have cleared the M. Phil. Course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate of its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC-7 point scale or an its equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever, grading system is followed and successfully completing M. Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work relating the Ph. D. in the same Institution A person whose M. Phil. dissertation has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted to the Ph.D. programme of the same Institution; Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M. Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational Institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme.

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION:

A candidate shall submit on line application to the Registrar in the prescribed format available at the Vidyapeeth website together with the processing fee, to be paid online within the stipulated time furnishing the following information:-

NOC from the HOD and Head of Institute concerned should be enclosed (Appendix-A) available on the brochure.

Incomplete online application received by the Vidyapeeth shall be rejected and no correspondence shall be entertained by the Vidyapeeth.

XII) exam of any board in India, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Life Sciences related (and desirably with Mathematics) or, if the result of the exam has been declared, he, she must have passed the same exam with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for the Reserve Category) 

Age Criteria 

a) Minimum age - 17 years on or before 31st December 2017 (having born before 1st January 2001) 

b) Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC, Std. Eligibility for NRI, PIO, FN 

Candidate in any of these categories shall have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2017 (having born before 01st January 2001). He, she must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology Life Sciences related and English (and desirably Mathematics) at the CBSE, ISC, HSC or an equivalent exam 

In the case of a student from any school that follows the American system of education, the candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and desirably Mathematics) at AP' (Advanced Placement) level and must have minimum 'C' grade in these subjects 

In the case of students, passing Cambridge International Exam (CIE) the candidate should have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology at "Advanced" level 

Subjects and Syllabi for the Entrance Test 

The Entrance Test will consist of 100 objective types multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) carrying 100 marks (25 marks each subject) 

The recommended syllabus for the test has been given in this brochure as Annexure-DPU AIBTCET 2017 Admission Procedure 

(i) Admissions to all these courses shall be by an All India Biotechnology Common Entrance Text (AIBTCET-2017) conducted by the Vidyapeeth 

The test will be of 01.30 hrs duration and will have 100 objectives multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each; the recommended syllabus for this test is appended in this brochure as Annexure-I

(ii) It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain the result of the AIBTCET-2017 

Test Booklet 

Candidates shall be provided with a sealed Test Booklet 5 minutes before the scheduled time of the Test. Candidate shall write with black ballpoint pen the required information regarding: Seat Number, Name, Centre Code and Centre of examination in the columns on the Test Booklet without opening the seal
