FILM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF
Established as 'Film Institute of India' in 1960 on the erstwhile Prabhat Studio premises at Pune, FTII boasts of a rich legacy in quality Indian cinema. The Prabhat Studios were declared heritage sites by the Pune Municipal Corporation and are used by the students to this day. The Institute has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Today, the FTII is commonly regarded as a center of excellence across the world. Films made by the students of the Institute have enjoyed excellent receptions in festivals in
The FTII is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. Its policies are determined by a Governing Council. The latter appoints the director of the institute.
The FTII is a member of CILECT, an international association of film schools.
Applicant should be Indian National, 18 years of age or above as on 01st November 2019
Educational qualifications: HSC (12th Std.) pass. In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered
Additional requirement: Basic knowledge of computer operations is must as the participants will be working on screenplay writing software.
Dates and Duration: 01st to 22nd November, 2019 (20 days excluding Sundays 10th & 17th Nov 2019)
Course Fee: Fees Rs 30,000/- per participant inclusive of GST.
Selection Procedure
First – Come – First – Served basis. However, course will be conducted only if the minimum strength of 20 participants is reached.
All the selected candidates would be communicated by email. Once admission is offered, the same cannot be cancelled. Course fee of selected candidates will be non – refundable. Course fees of all non – selected candidates would be returned within 04 days
Accommodation and other arrangements for outstation participants:
Limited accommodation may be arranged on double/ triple sharing basis. Please contact Ms Anusuya Sah Jagati from Nainital, on 9897988124, 9372299667 on weekdays between 10 am to 6 pm in this regard.
Interested participants also need to intimate the same in the application form and further need to make additional payment in advance in cash at the Registration Desk at Venue at-least a day before commencement of the course

Application Form has to be downloaded form from the FTII website.
Fill in all the details, attach said Demand Draft of Rs 30,000/- and Speed Post/ Courier OR deliver it in person to: Ms Anusuya Sah Jagati, Headingly Cottage, Upper Mall Road, Taliital, Nainital, Uttarakhand-263001 so as to reach on or before 14th October 2019.
On envelope of application at top left, write “Application for Foundation Course in Screenplay Writing”. Incomplete applications, applications without required Demand Draft and or received after due date & time etc will be rejected.

7. PG Certificate Course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing: Bachelor's Degree
8. PG Certificate Course in TV Direction: Bachelor's Degree
9. PG Certificate Course in Electronic Cinematography: Bachelor's Degree
10. PG Certificate Course in Video Editing: Bachelor's Degree
11. PG Certificate Course in Sound Recording and TV Engg: Bachelor's Degree with Physics as a subject at Senior Secondary (10+2) level
Proportionate no. of seats is reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates as per Govt. of India policy of reservations
Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/PwD must possess necessary/ valid caste and/or disability certificate as the case may be at the time of applying for the courses
Candidates applying through ICCR should get in touch with the respective Indian Embassies only. Such candidates are to submit credentials regarding his/ her knowledge of English Language and need to appear for English Language Test
Appeared Graduates
Appeared Graduates may also apply; such candidates opting for Film Courses must submit graduation certificate/ mark-sheet while reporting for documentation verification before Orientation; those opting for TV Courses must submit the same while reporting for documentation verification before Interview
Selection Criteria
For PG Diploma and Certificate courses in film except acting: There will be a written examination of 3 hour duration for 100 marks. Those qualified candidates will be called for orientation, interview and a medical test which will be later held at Pune. Based on all this criteria, the final merit list will be prepared
For PG Diploma Course in Acting: Candidates applying for PG Diploma course in Acting at Pune FTII need to attend a written examination of 3 hour duration for 100 marks. If you qualify this test, you have to attend an audition and the result 1 will be announced. Based on this result, the candidates will be called for orientation, interview and a medical test. The result 2 will be announced based on the performance at orientation and interview. The final result will be prepared on the basis of result 1, result 2 and medical test
For PG course in Television: A candidate who wish to join PG course in Television at Pune FTII must attend a written examination of 3 hour duration for 100 marks. Actually, this exam doesn't carry any weightage for further admission process and it is meant only for qualifying in nature. Qualified candidates will be called for an orientation and interview and thereafter the final result will be prepared on the basis of a medical test also

The Institute would not be responsible for postal delay, if any, regarding failure to reach the same in time. All applications (online)/ declaration slip reaching beyond specified date & time would be summarily rejected.
In view of the huge number of applications, scrutiny of same may not be undertaken at the time of written test. Therefore, candidature of candidates will be accepted provisionally. The candidates are advised to go through all the necessary requirements as published in the prospectus - 2016 (which is also available on FTII website www.ftiindia.com) and then should fill up the online application form ONLY after ensuring that they fulfil all the essential qualifications and other requirements as published in Prospectus – 2016. Once the online application is submitted, it will be presumed that the candidates have thoroughly read & understood the contents of the prospectus – 2016 and have accepted the same.
While submitting the online application, candidate need to attach one recent (not earlier than three months from the date of application) colour passport size photograph with clear front view of the candidate without cap and sun glasses Candidates may please note that FTII may reject their candidature at any stage for attaching old/ unclear photograph or for any significant variations between photograph submitted while submitting the online application and actual physical appearance of the candidate.
Admission of candidates (as applicable) at all stages of the entrance examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Candidature will be cancelled if any information or claim is not found substantiated/ not as per requirement when the scrutiny of documents is undertaken at the time of document verification or at any other stage of the entrance examination. FTII ‘s decision shall be final in this regard.
The decision of FTII in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications and all other matters related with conduct of entrance examination process will be final and binding on the candidates. No enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection.
Rights of cancellation or selection/ admission lie with the Institute.
Any dispute in regard to any matter referred to herein will be subject to the jurisdiction of Pune Courts alone.

(A) Procedure
PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE APPLICATION
1. Prepare a Demand Draft (Rs.2000 for General / OBC [Non Creamy Layer] Candidate and Rs.1650 for SC/ST Candidate) drawn on any of the branches of the Indian Bank or any Nationalised Bank , in favour of "Accounts Officer" FTII, Pune.
2. Be sure about the Course and Center you want to apply for.
3. After you have filled up the online form. Following documents only should be sent to Film and Television Institute of India, Pune:
(i) Two passport size photographs and Demand Draft.
(Photograph can also be uploaded online)
(ii) Declaration by Candidate and Parent/Guardian.
4. After receipt of DD by Post or Courier, status of your application will be changed within about a week's time. It will then be possible for you to print Admit Card for the Entrance Examination.
5. You can check status of your application online using your Username and Password which you created while applying online.
(B) Procedure
Obtain a copy of the Prospectus either by post or personally and Prepare a Demand Draft (Rs.2000 for General / OBC [Non Creamy Layer] Candidate and Rs.1650 for SC/ST Candidate) drawn on any of the branches of the Indian Bank or any Nationalised Bank , in favour of "Accounts Officer" FTII, Pune.
