ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

i.              Candidate must have passed the 10+2 or intermediate science examination from Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education or CBSE or ICSE or equivalent examination with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English with 50% aggregate marks for General and OBC candidates and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates.

ii.             Applicant for admission to Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy must have attained the age of 17 years on July 31 of the year of admission. Considering the New Education Policy2020 there is no any upper age bar for the candidates.

iii.            Admissions shall be made through the merit secured by a candidate in the entrance examination to be conducted by the University.

iv.            A candidate shall produce his/her mark sheet/certificate of Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination at the time of counseling

TIME OF ADMISSION

Admission to diploma programmes shall be made at the commencement of the second semester of the academic year 2021-22.

AGE LIMIT

The minimum age limit for admission is 17 years on July 31, 2021. There is no any upper age bar for the candidates.

MODE OF ADMISSION

i.              Admission to Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy for a total of thirty seats shall be made on the basis of the merit prepared by considering marks obtained in entrance examination 2021-22 for Two year Diploma course in Veterinary Pharmacy, conducted by the university.

ii.             Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy is a self financed programme. Out of total of 30 seats, the 50% of seats shall be filled from the domicile of the State of Uttarakhand and rest of 50% seats shall be filled from from the candidates other than Uttarakhand. However, vacant seats of any category shall be filled from the other categories.

iii.            No seat under this programme shall be left vacant. Reservation roaster will be applicable only on 50% seats allotted to the domicile of Uttarakhand state

iv.            The reservation policy regarding admission to applicant belonging to different category shall be applied as per the guidelines of Government of Uttarakhand or as notified by university Registrar or competent authority for vertical reservation.

Application Form fee: For all categories the application form fee for the Diploma course in Veterinary Pharmacy is Rs. 1200/-

Entrance Examination

(a) Subjects & Scheme of Examination

·          All candidates seeking admission Diploma course in Veterinary Pharmacy shall take subject matter test comprising 100 questions of 400 marks.

·          Subject Matter Test will be conducted without any break from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

·          The question paper shall consist of objective type questions with 4 multiple choices and shall be of 2 hours duration.

·          The candidate shall have question paper consisting of questions of Physics (25 questions), Chemistry (25 questions) and Biology (50 questions which will comprise; 25 questions of Zoology and 25 questions of Botany).

·          The 4.0 MARKS WILL BE AWARDED FOR EACH CORRECT ANSWER AND 1.0 MARK WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR EACH WRONG ANSWER ATTEMPTED BY THE CANDIDATE.

·          The question paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi.

·          USE OF ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT SUCH AS CALCULATOR, LOG TABLE AND MOBILE PHONE ETC. IN THE EXAMINATION HALL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

(b) Basis of Selection for Admission

(i)            The Admissions Committee will decide the cutoff marks for the academic year for qualifying the entrance examination after declaration of Rank-wise list of the candidates appeared in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University.

(ii)           In the event of two or more candidates securing equal marks, the merit shall be decided on the basis of marks secured in Chemistry, Biology and then Physics. In the event of tie again, a candidate with higher in age would be rated higher in merit.

Admissions to MCA program shall be made on the basis of separate Entrance Examination to be conducted by the University.

Admissions to master’s program in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology shall be made through the entrance examination conducted by J.N.U., New Delhi.

For M.Tech. programs, admission shall be made first based on the qualified GATE qualifying marks in the subject (major) in which admission is sought. Vacant seats shall be filled based on OGPA/percentage (%) of marks of B.Tech.
