The name of the university was rechristened to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in 1989 in commemoration of the memory of a leading statesman of the country, the son of the soil Shri Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, and subsequently established as Central University under the provision of the Central Universities Ordinance, 2009, No.3 of 2009 published in the gazette of India, extraordinary Part-II, Sec-I, New Delhi, 15 January 2009. Eligibility:MSc in Forestry (4 Sems) 4 years graduation degree in Forestry or three years graduation degree with Forestry as one of the subjects with 45% marks for general category and for SC/ST as per University rules
How to apply:Application Fee
For PG, PG Diploma and Professional Courses the fee will be Rs.250/- (Rs.125/- for SC/ST/PH) while Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST/PH) for MBA/MBA (Tourism and Travel Management) and B.Tech 1st Year
Application Procedure
Candidates can apply online by visiting University website http://hnbgu.ac.in/by paying prescribed fee through bank challan. Detailed instructions to fill the application are also available on same website
A student can appear in entrance test for P.G. courses in a maximum number of three subjects. For admission in practical subject’s candidate should have studied the subject in graduation level
Candidates appearing in more than one subject for P.G. entrance test have to submit separate application form along with the prescribed fee
Those appearing in the final year examinations can also apply subject to the condition that they will have to produce their final year result on or before the last date of admission; merely qualifying in entrance test does not guarantee admission in any programme, as admission to particular program is subject to the availability of seats in that programs and fulfilling other conditions
