- About Indian Institute of education: The Institute has been established in the year 2002 in Shimla,once the summer capital of British India and presently the capital of Himachal Pradesh, located in northern India, commonly known as queen of hills & paradise of tourists. It is bounded by Mandi and Kullu in the north, Kinnaur in the east, the state of Uttarakhand in the south-east, and Solan and Sirmaur to the south. The elevation of the city ranges from 300 to 2200 metres. The educational institutions of this cosmopolitan centre have been attracting students not only from India but from the neighboring countries.
The institute took a humble start by introducing B.Ed for girls and Art & Craft Courses in the year 2002. The intake in B.Ed course was increased from 100 students to 200 students in 2007. The Institute has made many strides under his dynamic strewardship by adding new courses of JBT, BCA, BBA, B.Sc. (Hons) Biotechnology, M.Sc. Microbiology, M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Chemistry, LL.B (3 Years) and M.Ed. courses in a relatively small span of Five Years.
Mata Bhakti Devi Welfare Society (Regd.) has been established not only to perform welfare activities but also to impart quality education, especially professional education. An enthusiastic group of dedicated and farsighted Philanthropists joined hands to fulfill a mission to educate the needy & gentle poor masses of the hill state , thereby enabling and empowering them to successfully face the forthcoming multi-facet challenges of the globalised market economy in a befitting manner. A renowned visionary, an academician far excellence, Late Pt. Shaligram Jee, a recipient of the President award and state award in the field of education, was the founder chairman of society. He has devoted his life to spread education and inculcate the values of life in the society. This tradition of devotion and dedication towards the cause of society has been furthered by Shri Shiv Kumar Dogra, presently the Chairman of College Management Committee.
