Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) has been upgraded from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology in May 2013 vide Delhi State Legislature Act 9, 2012, as a non-affiliating teaching and research University at Delhi to facilitate and promote studies, research, technology, innovation, incubation and extension work in emerging areas of professional education among women, with focus on engineering, technology, applied sciences, management and its allied areas with the objective to achieve excellence in these and related fields.

Erstwhile Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) was established in 1998 by Directorate of Training and Technical Education, Govt of N.C.T of Delhi as the first engineering college for women only. From 2002- 2013, the college remained the first and only constituent college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

The upgradation of IGIT, already a prestigious college of north India, to University will further enable it to function even more efficiently as a teaching and research centre in various branches of engineering, promoting advancement and dissemination of knowledge and learning among women of the country and to meet the requirement of technically skilled women workforce. How to apply:
Admission Procedure

For direct admission for diploma holder candidates in 2nd year B.Tech. (Mechanical & Automation Engineering), all candidates need to register and fill the application ONLINE only by accessing www.igdtuw.ac.in from September 28, 2022 to October 9, 2022 (11 PM).The application process is completed only when a printout of the filled ONLINE application form is taken after paying the online registration fee of INR 1000/-. The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in regular diploma in Mechanical Engineering branch. The reporting for admission in the counselling will be offline and the reporting time will be 9 am on the counselling date (13.10.2022) at Mechanical Block, IGDTUW Campus. On date of reporting at IGDTUW during admission, the following documents are to be submitted along with physical verification of original documents:

A duly signed printout of the filled application form (same as submitted ONLINE) along with two good quality photographs (same as uploaded on the online application form) affixed in the appropriate place on the form.

a. Attested copies of all mark sheets and certificate of qualifying examination 10th/ITI and Diploma.

b. Attested copies of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EW/ PD Certificate(s) whichever applicable, on the basis of which reservation is claimed. OBC-NCL candidates must produce the NCL certificate to support their category as per Annexure-2.

c. Original copies of all documents for physical verification. If any mismatch is found in physical verification, then admission will be cancelled and necessary disciplinary action as deemed fit will be taken.

Candidates are requested to ensure that they must fulfill all such requirements before filling and applying. Incomplete application, due to any reason, is liable for rejection by the University. In this regard, no communication will be entertained.

Application Fee

The registration fee of Rs. 1000/- is to be paid online through credit/debit card/netbanking at the time of registration. The registration shall not be complete without the payment of registration fee which is non-refundable and would not be adjusted towards any other fee. A convenience charge (online transaction) will be extra as per banking gateway on every online registration fee payment.

Admission Procedure

Admission to the Ph.D. Program will be common to the two categories (Full time and Part Time) of applicants.

1) Admission shall be made on the basis of a written Test viz. RAT followed by an interview.

2) The RAT Examination shall be qualifying only with qualifying marks as 50%. A relaxation of 5% marks (from 50% to 45%) shall be allowed for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled (PD) category to qualify the RAT Exam.

3) The syllabus of the RAT examination shall consist of 50% of Research Methodology and 50% subject specific. (Please refer www.igdtuw.ac.in)

Admission Procedure

The application fee for applying is Rs 1000/-. Candidates, with or without GATE score, both can apply. The merit list for admission to M. Tech. programme will be prepared first on the basis of the valid GATE Score secured by candidates and thereafter on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination, as per the eligibility. First preference would be given to candidate having valid GATE score. Candidate appearing in Final year/semester of their qualifying degree may also apply.

If a candidate does not attend the 1st Counselling, she will have no claim on the seat already allotted to the candidate in the first round of Counselling. However, candidates can participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling as per availability of seats in order of merit.

In case seats remain vacant during spot round then a special spot round may be conducted. These rounds would be open for any eligible candidate irrespective of whether she had filled application form or not. Those who have not applied earlier would be required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1000/- besides the annual fee in the spot and special spot round.

Candidate shall choose a suitably strong "Password" for subsequent logins to this counseling website. Also, she/he shall choose a security question which shall be used to retrieve the password in case she forgets password. Candidates must ensure that Mobile Number and Email Address. These will be used by JAC Delhi B.Arch admission committee for all future communications with the candidate.

2)    It is in the interest of candidate to remember her Password and keep it highly confidential, to avoid misuse by other candidate, for which university shall not be held responsible, in any manner.

Fee to be paid at the Time of Admission:

Every student who gets the admission offer in the MBA program in the Special Spot Round of Counselling shall pay the course fee (AY 2021-22) Rs 1,12,000 (One Lakh Twelve Thousand Only) in the form of DD in favour of “Registrar, IGDTUW- Fee Account” payable at Kashmere Gate SBI Branch, Delhi- 110006. In case the candidate fails to fulfill minimum eligibility criteria, her admission shall be cancelled and no fee shall be refunded.

Withdrawal Policy

The fee paid will be Non-Refundable for special spot round except the security deposit of Rs 5000.

Documents Required at the Time of Counseling:

Following is the list of documents required for verification process:

Eligibility:
The candidate must have scored at least 60% marks in 12th board examination from a recognised board and must also have passed english (Core/Elective/Functional) as a subject in the 12th Board Examination. Admission Criteria:

The merit list shall be drawn on the basis of marks in best of four subjects (including English) in XII board examination or its equivalent examination. Vocational courses (as specified in the CBSE list) will not be counted in the best four subjects.

To resolve and determine inter-se merit of candidates having same percentage in the best of four subjects (Encluding English), following criterion will be used in the stated order of preference:

(i) Candidates having higher score in English (core/elective/functional) will be given preference.

(ii) in case score in english is same, then date of birth will be considered. the candidate older in age will be given preference.

Note: Candidates who have got a compartment in any subject will not be eligible for admission.

Age Criterion: there is no upper age limit but candidate must be minimum 14 years old on 1st July, 2021.

Minimum Marks Criterion in Qualifying Examination

B.Tech. Course at NSUT, IGDTUW and DTU

A candidate securing 60% or more marks in an aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and has passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) AND having JEE Main 2019 Rank (Paper I) shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of B. Tech. /B.E., course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.

Submission of Registration-cum-Counseling Fee

All candidates desirous of seeking admission to the engineering / architecture programs at DTU, IGDTUW, IIIT-D and NSUT are required to visit website www.jacdelhi.nic.in to pay a non-refundable registration-cum-counseling fee of Rs.1500/- ( plus transactions charges as applicable)

NOTE: ONLINE REGISTRATION IS ALLOWED AS PER COUNSELING SCHEDULE ONLY.

The candidate will initiate the fee submission for online registration process by entering his/her following details:

·          JEE (Main) 2019 Application Number

·          Name (as per JEE Admit card)

If amount gets deducted from the candidate's bank I card, account but the candidate is not able to register, it indicates that transaction has failed. Such failed transactions are refunded to the same bank 7 card account automatically by the payment system within 7 working days.

ln such cases, the fee should be paid again for registration without waiting for the refund. The candidate may inform JAC Delhi by sending an email to support@jacdelhi.nic.in, providing the candidate’s details (JEE Mains Application Number, Name, Mobile Number, Date and Time of Transaction).

Please Note:

i) After successful fee payment, candidates are required to visit the website www.jacdelhi.nic.in again and fill online registration form.

ii) After successful fee payment, if a candidate does not fill the ONLINE registration form, he/she will not be considered for any seat allotment in any round of the counseling. (No refund of registration-cum-counseling fee for such candidates will be applicable)

iii) No other mode of payment will be accepted for submission of registration-cum-counseling fee.
