- About Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala:
The Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala (IFTK) is established by the Government of Kerala in technical collaboration with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. IFTK has been set up under the aegis of Centre for Continuing Education Kerala (CCEK), with the intention of developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario. The Fashion industry in India is mainly driven by growing exposure of domestic designers at International forums, but growth is also supported by another important factor, focused fashion education courses for the emerging designers. Today fashion industry, like many other global industries engage special designing techniques, production methods, marketing & IT tools, it demands specially trained peoples for these. Courses designed and delivered at IFTK, located at the beautiful surroundings of Vellimon, Kundara, Kollam District, Kerala, fulfills these demands through its professionally managed campus. Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala is the first of its kind in Kerala established by the Government of Kerala. The Institute aims at providing a common platform for fashion education, research and training.

Course Description: B. Des in Fashion Design

Eligibility:a) B.Des Fashion Design shall be required to have passed (any one of below)
b) 10+2/higher secondary exams with a mandatory minimum marks of 50%
c) Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala
d) All Admissions to Bachelor of Design Degree course (B.Des) – Fashion Design shall be subject to passing of an Aptitude Test conducted by IFTK
How to apply:Application Procedure
Step-1: Prospectus & Application Form can be downloaded from the Website www.iftk.ac.in
Step-2: Prospectus along with the Application Form can be obtained from the office of Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala, Vellimon West, Kollam on payment of Rs.300/- by DD in favour of “Principal, Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala”
Step-3: Candidates are advised to send their application forms only by India Post.
Application Fee
I. Application should be submitted along with the DD of Rs.300/-
II. Application form complete in all respects along with a Demand Draft for Rs.1200/- (Rs.1500/- if downloaded from website)
Course Fee Details
Fee structure for B.Des Fashion Design is as follows
Tuition Fees: Rs. 43000/- per Semester
Library Fees: Rs 2000/- per Semester (Non-Refundable)
Student Development Fees: Rs.1000/- per Semester
Graduation Show Fund: Rs.2000/- per Semester
Total: Rs 48,000/- per Semester
One-time fees during admission
Security Deposit (Refundable): Rs. 5000/-
Registration Fees: Rs. 2000/-
*50% of tuition fees + security deposit (refundable) will be refunded to the candidates who withdraw their candidature before commencement of course
