    Eligibility:

    A pass in HSC (Academic) / CBSE / Pre-degree / Plus Two level / equivalent with minimum eligibility marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. OR  A pass with minimum eligibility marks in one of the HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering / Technology as Vocational subjects and any one or two of the related subjects like Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. OR  Any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu and Universities in Tamil Nadu.

     

    Minimum Eligibility Marks

     (a)        For SC/ST candidates a pass in the qualifying examination will suffice and the minimum marks are the same as the passing minimum for HSC and diploma exams of the State Board of Tamil Nadu.

    (b)        Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum marks:

    a.       HSC (Academic) CBSE / HSC (Vocational) / Pre-degree / Plus and other equivalent examinations: Other Communities: Average of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

    b.       HSC (Vocational) Candidates: Average of 60% marks in the related subjects

     

     

    Note(I): For backward and most backward candidates from Tamil Nadu, the minimum percentages of marks for admission are as follow:

      

    For Backward Community: An average of 55% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

    For Most Backward Community: An average of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

    SC/ST: Mere pass with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
