Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) was established in 2003 to provide proactive support to professional education and facilitate and streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz., MBA, PGDM and MCA. There are 169 + member B-schools of KPPGCA located across Karnataka which are affiliated to respective universities in the State.
KMAT 2016 was born out of the felt -need to have a single unified test for admissions in the State of
KMAT 2016
Conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), KMAT is the gateway to more than 169 + well known AICTE-approved University-affiliated B-schools in
KMAT 2016, to be held on September 11th, is the last common entrance exam for MBA/PGDM Admissions 2016. It is a conventional Paper-Pencil Test with moderate difficulty level.
KMAT is Gateway to MBA in Karnataka and
· Candidates need to have Bachelors degree , Masters degree from any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering , Technology or equivalent
· Atleast 50% aggregate marks; 40% for SC,ST candidate
· Candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis on their performance in KMAT. The scorecards of the candidates will be sent to the colleges.
· The selected candidates who have qualified in KMAT need to report to their respective college to secure admissions.
Process
The eligible and interested candidates must follow the below instructions while filling the online application form for KMAT:
Name: Candidates must fill their name as mentioned in the school leaving certificate.
Nativity: Candidates must select on the appropriate option irrespective of the fact whether they are or aren't residents of Karnataka state.
Choice of Test Centre: Select your test Centre city from the list of cities provided. Kindly note that once the city has been selected changes will not be allowed.
Date of Birth: Enter the Date of Birth in DD, MM, YYYY format.
Applying for: Select on the appropriate category option, i.e., MBA or MCA.
Stream: Applicants need to specify the stream, discipline in which the candidate has obtained graduation degree.
Address: Complete postal address and other communication details should be correctly mentioned in the space provided. Write your first name in CAPITAL LETTERS. Failure to write complete address might result in non-receipt of postal communication, if any.
Fees: Demand Draft (of rs 600) should be made in favor of "KMAT 2016", payable at
Candidates should keep a photocopy of the Application form and Demand draft as a proof of acknowledgement.
Test Fees
The registration fee for KMAT 2016 for MBA, PGDM programme is Rs 600.
Mode of Payment
Candidates need to submit a demand draft of Rs 600/- drawn in favour of "KMAT 2016", payable at
Admit Card
The Admit card of KMAT 2016 will be available for download on the official website two days before the test. Candidates are required to enter the details of application number and date of birth in the space provided to download the admit card.
