The mission of the Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and
Eligibility for Master Programme:
a) Candidate shall possess a Bachelor degree in the respective subject from recognized University / institute on or before the due date mentioned.
b) Candidate shall have 6.00/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for general category and 5.50/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates at bachelor degree level.
c) A candidate for master degree programme should be a citizen of India and must have studied in any educational institution in Karnataka State for a period of seven academic years at any time up to the Bachelor degree as on 1st July of the admission year. [Not applicable to candidates who are GOK, GOI, ICAR nominees, NRIs and Foreign Nationals (FN)]. However, in the event of candidates not available in a particular subject then the domicile requirement of 7 years could be relaxed to outside State candidates in respect of admission to Master degree programme of the University.
Written Test:
Candidates seeking admission have to appear for a written test compulsorily in the concerned group for
Master degree & concerned subject for Doctoral degree on the date and place mentioned below.
Reservation of seats:
The seats shall be reserved in accordance with the existing reservation policy of Govt. of Karnataka.
Provision is also made for admission on payment of institutional economic fees for Foreign National/ Children of NRI.
One seat in each department for Master & Doctoral degree notified above is reserved for candidates sponsored by GOK, GOI.
Application Form and Prospectus:
The application form along with the prospectus can be downloaded from the University website Application fee of Rs.800/- for General Candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/Cat-I in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of Comptroller, KVAFSU, Bidar has to be paid along with the application.
The filled in applications duly completed in all respect along with requisite application fee in the form of DD should be submitted to the “Registrar, KVAFSU, Nandinagar, PB No. 6, Bidar-585401” so as to reach on or before 30-9-2019 (5.00 pm).

For Candidates belonging to SC/ST and Category-I a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology & English subjects is mandatory

Selection Procedure for KVAFSU Karnataka MBA in Food Business entrance Exam 2015
Selection of candidate is based on written test score and performance in-group discussion/personal interview conducted by university.
Written Test for KVAFSU Karnataka MBA in Food Business entrance Exam 2015:
Eligible candidates shall have to appear for a written Management Aptitude test of 50 marks conducted by the KVAFSU on the date prescribed in the notification/Advrt.
The written test for admission to MBA degree program will test management aptitude and will contain 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 1.0 mark and the examination will be of 2 hours duration.
Candidates appearing for the written test/ interview will have to come to the examination centre on their own cost.
The Written test is scheduled on 17th August 2015 at 10.00 am at Dept. of Dairy Economics & Business Management, (DEBM)
Reservation of Seats for KVAFSU Karnataka MBA in Food Business entrance Exam 2015
The seats shall be reserved in accordance with the existing reservation policy of Govt. of Karnataka. However, no fee concession is given to any of the categories, since this is a self-financed degree programme.

The application form along with the prospectus will be uploaded on 04th July 2015 and can be downloaded from the University website www.kvafsu.kar.nic.in

Candidate shall possess a B.V.Sc. / B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc. (D. Tech.) B.Sc. (D. Tech.)/ B.Tech. (D. Tech.)/ B.F.Sc as the case may be from a recognized Agricultural /Animal Sciences University/Deemed University/ Institutions/ Colleges recognized by ICAR which have duration of 4 years /5 years.
Candidate shall have a CGPA of 2.25 out of 4.00 or OGPA of 6.50 out of 10.00, while for SC/ST/Cat. – I candidate, a mere pass is adequate.
Candidate shall be a citizen of India and must have studied in any educational institutions in Karnataka State for a minimum period of seven academic years at any time upto Bachelors degree as on 1st October 2005 (Not applicable to candidates who are GOK, GOI, ICAR nominees & also to NRIs & Foreign Nationals).
I. Mode of Selection for Master’s Degree programme: a. The selection of candidates shall be done on the basis of merit list prepared as follows :

b. Candidates securing less than 50% of total marks as calculated above shall not be called for councelling. While SC/ST/Cat – I candidates securing less than 35 percent marks shall not be called for councelling.
c. Candidates who have secured graded in 4 or 10 point scale shall submit a copy of the certificate of equivalent percentage, failing which, their applications shall be rejected
Filled in applications for admission are to be submitted to the Registrar, KVAFSU, Nandinagar, PB No.6 BIDAR-585 401 only in the prescribed format on or before the date and time prescribed in the Notification issued by the University. The details and date of issue of application forms are available on Notification. Only one application is sufficient for all the degree programmes of the University. The candidates are required to furnish the relevant information as required in the application format.
