The state Government of Maharashtra has established and incorporated an independent University of the health Sciences for the purposes of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern medicine and Indian system of medicine in the State of Maharashtra and to have balanced growth in the medical sciences so also in uniformity in various courses in medical faculty in the State, and to provide for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. It was with this objective the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was established in Nashik city of Maharashtra State on 03rd June 1998 by promulgating the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998. Initially, the University was functional at Gangapur Road, Nashik. In 2004 University headquarters shifted to Mhasrul, Dindori Road, Nashik at its own building.
A candidate, who fulfils the following criteria, shall be eligible to appear for the Entrance Test, namely: -
I. He is a citizen of India;
II. He is a Domicile of Maharashtra State
III.Master of Science (M.Sc.) / Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in U.G.C. 7-point scale (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed).
IV. Relaxation of 5% of marks, as from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to S.C./S.T./O.B.C. (non-creamy layer) / Differently abled and other categories of Candidates as per the policy of the State Government, from time to time or for those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991, and thereafter criteria prescribed by the UGC from time to time. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an - 13 - equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation as stated above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedure.
Submission of application form:
Candidate must submit the hard copy of the Application form with self-attested all necessary documents as prescribed by the University on or before 07/01/2022 by post or in person at the following address-
“The Registrar,
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences,
Vani-Dindori Road, Mhasrul,
Nashik-422004”.
I. The application must be highlighted as “APPLICATION FOR M.Phil. ENTRANCE TEST 2021-22” (UDC Section) on the top side of envelope. Incomplete applications, in any respect, shall be rejected and no complaint or queries shall be entertained in this regard, therefore, it is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the application is complete in all respect and is supported by necessary attachments.
II. Reserved category candidates shall have to submit all required self-attested documents like Caste/Tribe Certificate, Validity Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate etc. as the case may be. If he/she fails to submit any document(s) then he/she will not be eligible to take benefit under that category.
III. The admission of the Candidates for M.Phil. Degree shall be on the basis of Merit of Entrance test conducted by the University.
IV. The in-service Candidates applying for M.Phil. program shall have to submit “No Objection Certificate” from their employer in the prescribed format (Annexure-X and XI of Direction No. 01/2020) as the case may be.
V. Reservation policy will be followed for admission as per the existing rules of the Maharashtra Government. Five percent (5%) seats of total sanctioned intake at Institution shall be reserved for Candidates having minimum 40% benchmark disability. The Physically Disabled candidates may claim reservation by producing valid certificate to that effect issued by the competent authority.
Registration Fee: Mode of Payment: - All the Candidates need to pay Entrance Test Registration fee (Non-refundable) of Rs. 2000/- for Open Category and Rs. 1000/- for reserved Category (including Differently abled) in the form of demand draft.
Examination Centre: The Entrance Exam will be conducted at Regional Centres or at Nashik City only
Issuance of Admit Cards: Admit Cards for Entrance Test appearing candidates will be made available on the University website 07 days before the examination date and will not be sent to individual by post. It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to download the Admit Card. Candidates has to come with this printout of the Admit Card at the time of the Entrance Test. Candidates without Admit Cards will not be allowed to enter the Examination hall.
