    National Institute of Fashion Technology was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It has emerged as the premier Institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario. The Institute is a pioneer in envisioning and evolving fashion business education in the country through network of seven professionally managed Centres at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong.

    Eligibility:

    ·          The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Or

    ·          General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. Or

    ·          Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. Or

    ·          A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. Or

    ·          3 or 4-years diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

     

    The seats reserved for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates exist as per Govt. of India Requirements. In addition, the Govt of India has proposed to reserve seats for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) the details of the intake would be announced through an advertisement in National Dailies Newspapers by NIFT on receipt of an official communication from appropriate authorities. 15% of seats are reserved on super numerary basis for NRI/ Foreign Nationals/SAARC in each discipline.

    How to apply:

    The Prospectus can be obtained by hand form selected branches of AXIS BANK across the country on payment of Rs. 250/- (the list of selected branches is available on NIFT website). Prospectus can also be obtained by hand for Rs. 250/- or by post on payment or Rs. 350/- by way of demand draft in favour of NIFT payable at New Delhi form the following NIFT Campuses. The filled-n Application form along with the examination fee of 1,000/- (in case of general category) and Rs. 500/- (in case of SC/ST /PhP) may be sent to ‘The Project manager CMS, All India Management Association, Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003.

     

    The candidates, who wish to apply online, are required to log on to www.inftindia.com for detailed instructions.

     

    Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PHP categories are required to submit a certified copy of their caste certificate with the filled in application form.
