Note: To be eligible for Institute Scholarship, a valid GATE score/NET qualification is mandatory for candidates not possessing ME/M.Tech. Degree Mathematics should be compulsory at B.Sc. level.

SCHOLARSHIP/STIPEND

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): - Rs. 31000/- per month for the 1st two years and Rs 35000/- per month for the 3rd and 4th year for candidates admitted with Institute Scholarship. However, scholarship may be enhanced as per MHRD norms.

The application forms and information brochure can be obtained by sending requisite application fee, in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT) payable at Ranchi along with a self-addressed, stamped (Rs. 40) envelope of  28x16 cm size, to the Dean (R&C). The application forms and information brochure can also be obtained in person from the academic section of the institute by producing DD towards application fee. Alternatively, the application form and information brochure can be downloaded from the Institute Website also.

·         Candidates appearing at the qualifying exam may also apply

·         However, candidates selected shall be required to produce the final result within 60 days from the date of admission. No further extension will be allowed beyond this period under any circumstances and his/her admission will be cancelled

Method of Selection

·         Selection will be made on the basis of marks, counselling, tests etc. Selected candidates will have to appear in medical test by the Institute Doctor

·         Written test will be conducted at NIFFT, Hatia, Ranchi on 24th June 2018 and the following centers may also be available (Subject to receipt of sufficient applications): Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Pune

·         Candidates must give choice of two centers as per preference

·         The selected candidate for admission after counceling will be required to pay the prescribed fee which will be indicated in the selection letter towards first installment including caution money on the counselling date itself, failing which their selection will stand automatically cancelled
