Candidate graduated or in final year of graduation in 2021 can apply provided s/he fulfils the following conditions:

1. Qualified in CAT 2020, CMAT 2021 & XAT 2021.

2. Marks in 10th and 10+2 Examination/Equivalent:

·          For OPEN/OBC/EWS - 60%

·          For SC/ST - 55%

3. Marks in Graduation:

·          For OPEN/OBC/EWS: 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-pointscale) or 55%

·          For SC/ST: 5.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 50%

·          The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute. Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by individual Institute will not be considered. Candidates will have to mention CGPA/Percentage as awarded by their University/Institute.

·          A candidate appearing for final year graduation examination can apply for admission to the MBA program 2021-23, but s/he has to submit the graduation final year result at the time of admission, failure of which will lead to cancellation of candidature.

·          The admission committee of the department of management studies is fully empowered and responsible for selection and their decision is final in the admission process. Queries, if any, should be directed to the Head of the Department, Department of Management Studies. No correspondence/interim inquiries will be entertained from the candidates including reasons for not being called for interview. Canvassing in any manner would also entail disqualification of the candidature.

·          Application is to be submitted on-line, procedural details and documents required are appended at the end.

·          Selected candidates, willing to take admission, will have to pay a non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee of Rs. 10,000 (to be paid within the stipulated time to be notified later) which will be adjusted from the amount payable at the time of final admission.

Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA considering all the subjects by regular full time course. The students appearing for the final graduation examination in the year 2021, may also apply but he/she has to score the above percentage up to pre final semester, and to produce the final year graduation result fulfilling the above criterion at the time of admission, failure of which will lead to cancellation of candidature.

Selection procedure:

1)    The name of the eligible shortlisted candidates for written test, Group Discussion & Personal Interview will be posted on the website.

2)    The shortlisted candidate shall report the Department of Humanities and Social Science (HSS) at 9.00 am with all the originals of the documents those were mailed, on the date mentioned in the notice.

3)    A Written Test of 50 marks (based on social science, aptitude, logical reasoning and current affair), Group Discussion of 30 marks and Personal Interview of 20 marks will follow.

4)    Based on the above, category wise merit list will be prepared and will be posted on the website.

Admission: The selected candidates shall take admission by paying all the fees as per the schedule given in the advertisement. No separate intimation will be made. The hostel will be allotted on the same day.

Application Processing Fee: INR 1000 for all candidates (Transfer through NEFT to Account No. 8569101000352, Payable at Canara Bank, NIT Campus, Durgapur, IFS Code: CNRB0008569). Application fees can ONLY be paid online through NET Banking or offline through NEFT from Banks. ·         Indian nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC, ST) in B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons), BCA , BIT of minimum three years full-time or B.E, B.Tech or equivalent from a recognized university are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2018 test.

·         Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2018.

Application Procedure for NIMCET 2018:

Candidates can apply online.

The non-refundable processing fee for NIMCET-2018 test and counseling for admission to the MCA program is Rs. 2000/- for OPEN/OBC category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST category candidates.

Paper Pattern for NIMCET 2018:

The duration of NIMCET-2018 examination is two hours.

All rough work is to be done in the test booklet only. The candidate should not do any rough work or put any stray marks on the OMR sheet.

NIMCET-2018 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects.

ultiple choice questions will be written in English language only.

Mathematics                                                 50 questions

Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning 40 questions

Computer Awareness                                  10 questions

General English                                            20 questions

Candidates should have:

Selection Procedure for NIT, Durgapur:

A screening of applications will be made and only the short-listed candidates will be called for admission test and,or viva voce.

All shortlisted candidates shall appear for the admission test. There shall be a further screening after the admission test.
