The PSGR Krishnammal College for Women was established on 28th June 1963, by Sri.G.R.Govindarajulu and Smt.G.Chandrakanthi. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Sri.Bakthavatchalam. It caters to the needs of women in higher education. The College is autonomous, ISO 9001:2008 certified and Re-accredited with A GRADE by NAAC (National Accreditation and Assessment Council).
Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of the plus two pattern of Tamilnadu or an examination (like the CBSE) recognized by the universities as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply for UG Courses, subject to the condition that the candidates satisfy certain special conditions prescribed by the University for admission to respective courses.
Admission Policy and Process
The admission shall be made purely on the basis of merit subject to the rules of reservation of the Government of Tamilnadu. The following certificates in original have to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission.
· Original mark statement issued by the examination authority
· Provisional Certificate (for PG admission)
· Transfer Certificate
· Community Certificate
· One set of attested photocopies of the above certificates

Application forms for admission will be available at the college premises from the first week of May, every year. Duly filled - in forms signed by the candidate and countersigned by the parents/guardian of the applicant may be submitted at the admission counters and acknowledgement slips obtained. Those applying for more than one course should do so in separate application forms.
