1. Panjab University (Established in 1882) is a Central and State Governments Funded University located in Chandigarh.
2. Panjab University is not related at all to Chandigarh University which is a private university and located in Distt Mohali, Punjab about 25 Kms from Chandigarh.
3. No official of Panjab University or Admission Cell is giving any call to the prospective candidate for seeking admission to PU or for submitting admission fee etc.

1. The admission to MDS course shall be open to candidates who have qualified NEETMDS 2021 and are eligible as per eligibility criteria for NEET-MDS 2021 laid down in Information Bulletin for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-MDS for admission to MDS course 2021.
2. As per Dental Council of India guidelines, the minimum percentile of marks for eligibility for admission to postgraduate dental courses shall be 50% percentile for General Category candidates, 45% percentile for Person with Disability (PwD) and 40% percentile for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Backward Classes (BC).
3. Counseling / Admission shall be conducted by the Admission Committee constituted by the Panjab University for this purpose
4. Candidates cannot claim a seat/admission on the basis of the NEET-MDS-2021 rank alone. Eligibility of a candidate for admission against any Post Graduate seat will be determined by the Admission Committee, as per rules and regulations laid down by the Panjab University & DCI from time to time. The eligibility shall also be based on other documents as specified in the check list at page No. 16, with the Admission Form.
5. Candidates shall attach the self attested downloaded copy of RESULT CARD of NEET-MDS-2021. The candidate is also required to attach self attested photocopy of the ADMIT CARD of NEET-MDS-2021 with Admission Form.
6. In case any candidate surrenders a seat, he/she will not be eligible to attend subsequent admission counseling’s for the MDS course in the University in the same year.
7. In case any candidate is found to have furnished false information or certificate, etc. or is found to have withheld or concealed information in his/her Admission Form, he/she shall be debarred from admission.
8. All candidates will be considered for admission in General Category. The candidates interested to be considered under any other category also, must write the relevant code at specified serial number 12 of the Admission Form. For Category Codes, see ‘Instructions for the Candidates’ at Sr. No. 10 of Admission Form. No candidate will be considered for a category whose code has not been entered in the Admission Form, even if the candidate actually belongs to that category.
9. For claims on reserved seats/categories wherever applicable, the candidates must support their claim by attaching self attested photocopies of appropriate certificate(s)/documents issued by competent authority as per specimen given in Annexures to this Prospectus along with the Admission Form.
10. Candidate with disability, i.e., Person with Disability (PwD) shall be considered for admission as per rules and regulations specified by Dental Council of India as appended below:-
“5% seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity shall be filled up by candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs in between 50% to 70%.
Provided that in case any seat in this 5% quota remains unfilled on account of unavailability of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% then any such unfilled seat in this 5% quota shall be filled up by persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs between 40% to 50% before they are included in the annual sanctioned seats for General Category candidates”.

The Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) shall be open to all such candidates who have passed (up to the academic session 2015-16) in the 10+2 examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate and English as one of the compulsory subjects

Admission to M.Ed. (D.E.) is open to a candidate having 45% marks at Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Degree level, alongwith 55% marks in B.Ed. or its equivalent and having atleast two years experience as full time regular teacher, educator, researcher, policy planner, teacher and administrator located within the State of Punjab/The Union Territory of Chandigarh

The Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) shall be open to all such candidates who have passed (up to the academic session 2013-14) in the 10+2 examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate and English as one of the compulsory subjects
The eligibility of a candidate will be provisional at every stage of the admission process
PUTHAT: The paper for PUTHAT will consist of 100 questions of one mark each
Total time allocated to the paper will be 90 minutes
The medium of examination shall be English only
There shall be negative marking
The distribution of marks for the respective components of testing would be as; English Aptitude 30; Current Affairs and General Awareness 20; Reasoning Ability 20; Hospitality Industry Awareness 30
The merit list of candidates appearing for PUTHAT shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the PUTHAT only
The result of the PUTHAT-2013 will be made available on the university website www.results.puchd.ac.in as well as in the enquiry office of the university
