· The candidate has obtained 50% marks (if meeting with category A under section 2.1 of this web notification) and 65% (if meeting with Category B under section 2.1) or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks (i.e. all the years’ grade/marks except the final year grade/marks), and
· The candidate has completed all the requirements and has appeared for the examinations/practical etc. for the final year/semester/term and that the result is awaited for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification. Such candidates, if selected, should submit the final year mark sheet and certificate on the registration date notified by the Institute [02 August 2022(tentative)].
b. Non-fulfilment of the above conditions will result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Ph D in Engineering
A. Applicants with Master's degree in engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Master's degree level.
B. Applicants with Bachelor's degree in engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Bachelor's degree level. Applicant with more than two years of professional experience, the minimum requirement shall be 70% marks or 7.0 CPI (on 10 point scale) at Bachelor degree provided the degree is from an Institution funded by the Central Government.
C. Applicants with Master's degree in science as an allied discipline/area (where science is an allied discipline), must satisfy each of the following criteria:
i. A minimum of 65% marks or 6.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Master's degree level
ii. A minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Bachelor's degree level
Ph D in Sciences

Ph D in Management Studies
a. Applicants with Master's degree or equivalent in the management or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Master's degree level.
b. Applicants with Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or in an allied discipline must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Bachelor's degree level. Applicant with more than two years of professional experience, the minimum requirement shall be 70% marks or 7.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at Bachelor degree provided the degree is from an Institution funded by the Central Government.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance in the form of Institute Assistantships is available to the students admitted to Ph D programmes under Full Time regular registration category. Such students must have qualified GATE. Presently the Assistantships @ Rs. 31,000/- per month is available to full time students admitted to the PhD programmes.
The NET-LS qualified students may be eligible for Institute assistantship in Humanities and Management provided they have CPI of 7.0 or 70% marks in the qualifying examination. The assistantship is subjected to its availability.
A student shall be assigned duties up to eight hours per week by the Departments to avail the Teaching Assistantship. The renewal of assistantship is contingent on the student's satisfactory performance in the academic programme and in the discharge of assistantship duties on a semester to semester basis.
For the Odd Semester of Session 2021-22, the Institute Assistantship available in each department are as given in Table 2D of Annexure I.
No student shall be admitted to Full time Regular Registration Category without Institute Assistantship or National-level Scholarships/Fellowships. No student can get financial assistance from more than one source at a time.
Duly filled-in On-line applications on the prescribed form are invited for admission to Ph.D. programmes in the Even (January-2022) Semester of Academic Session 2021-2022 in various disciplines as given in Annexure–I. Candidates whose qualifying examination results are not declared at the time of Written Test / Interview may also be considered. In case such candidates are selected, their admission will be provisional subject to the condition that they produce proof of completing all the examinations including the project/thesis examination and the viva voce before the date of registration. Such candidates are required to produce the evidence of their having passed the qualifying degree examination with the minimum marks/grades for eligibility by the last date for document submission as mentioned in the academic calendar (08 weeks from the date of registration), failing which their admission shall be cancelled.

· Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology ‘OR’ must hold a Bachelor’s degree in disciplines such as B.Sc./B.Com./BCA/B.A. (Mathematics/Statistics) recognized by the AICTE/UGC/Institute/University incorporated by Act of Parliament/State legislature, university declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
Candidates meeting the above eligibility criteria and have a valid score of any of these examinations: Common Admission Test (CAT-2020) conducted by IIMs/Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT-2021)/ CMAT-2021 (conducted by AICTE)/ GMAT 2020/2021 are eligible to apply. Candidate appearing for final year examination of programme are also eligible to apply based on the following conditions:
a. Such candidate must produce a certificate from the authority of the university/institution certifying that:
(i) The candidate has obtained 50% marks or equivalent based on latest available grades/marks (i.e. all the years’ grade/marks except the final year grade/marks), and
(ii) The candidate has completed all the requirements and has appeared for the examinations/practical etc. for the final year/semester/term and that the result is awaited for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification. Such candidates, if selected, should submit the final year mark sheet and certificate on the registration date notified by the Institute [02 August 2021(tentative)].
b. Non-fulfilment of the above conditions will result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
Online Application Process
· Eligible candidates should apply Online for admission by filling up online application form given on RGIPT website www.domsrgipt.ac.in. The instructions are provided on the same to fill up the form.
· A non-refundable application fee of Rs.400/- (Rs.200/- for SC/ST candidates) to be paid online by the applicant.
· Candidates MUST use their personal Phone number and Email Id for registration.
· Please ensure that all information provided is correct and accurate.
· You will be able take the printout of your filled-in application form only after successful submission inclusive of payment made through payment gateway. We urge you to save a copy of your submitted application to some location on your computer or any data storage device for your future reference.
· Incomplete application forms and forms received after the due date will not be considered for admission process.
· The last date of submission of online application is Monday, 30th April, 2021 (5.00 PM).
· If at any stage, the information provided by a candidate is found to be false; his candidature/admission shall be cancelled.

Selection Process
CAT / GMAT / XAT scores along with the performance in Written Ability Test, Personal Interview, Work Experience and Academic Records will be used for selection of the candidates
Company Sponsored candidates meeting the above eligibility criteria and having a minimum of two years of post-graduation full-time work experience in the sponsoring organization are exempted from CAT/GMAT/XAT
The final selection of sponsored candidates will be based on total weighted cumulative score obtained out of a maximum score of 100 (one hundred)
