1. B.A or B.Sc. graduates, passed either from Mysore University or from any other University (recognized as equivalent from Mysore University) with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all the three years ( 45% in case of SC / ST / Physically handicapped).
2. He should have studied ‘English’ as a subject under language group.
3. He has studied two of the following subjects (appropriate subject or paper titles) as electives, one for all the three years and the other for at least one year or two semesters: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Socialogy, Geography, Economics, English, Public Administration, Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, and Marathi
4. Among the two school subjects the candidate opts for under content - cum methodology, he should have studied at least one subject for three years in his B.A or B.Sc degree.
Written tests and an interview will be held on different dates based on applications received. Eligible candidates will be called for written tests and interview according to merit and depending upon seats available. Ineligible candidates will not be informed separately. Admission will be based on the candidate’s qualifying degree marks, his performance in written tests and an interview to be held at the Institute. The written tests will be in

Selection of candidates
® Candidates will be informed of the selection on the day of the interview itself.
® All selected candidates will undergo a medical test at the Institute on the next day.
® If found medically fit, candidates coming from Universities outside Karnataka state must apply for an 'Eligibility Certificate' from the University of Mysore on the same day by paying the prescribed fee at the University. The University revises this fee every year .
® All selected candidates will pay the prescribed fee at RIMSE on the same day by demand draft in favour of ‘Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education, Mysore ‘. Those who do not pay the fees on the same day will forfeit their admission.
® The candidates should report at RIMSE a day before the classes commence along with the fees payable at that time. Detailed Instructions about the commencement of classes will be intimated to selected candidates separately
Send Rs.175 (Application fee Rs.100 & Registration fee Rs.75) by DD in favour of RIMSE along with the completed application form. A prospectus will be sent to those who have sent Rs.175/- along with the application form.
