- About Sath Jinda Kalyana PG College: Sat Jinda Kalyana P.G. College, Kalanaur (Rohtak) is the oldest institution of higher education between Rohtak and Bhiwani. In a long tradition of philanthropic works, Sat Jinda Kalyana College was established in 1971 by the Tikana of the same name under the auspices of Brahmleen Mahant Sri Jamna Dass Ji Maharaj. Deeply inspired by the desire to impact higher education to the youth of backward region in the periphery of Kalanaur, Maharaj ji laid down the stone of Sat Jinda Kalyana College with the motto of ‘Vidya-Vivek-Vikas.’It was his cherished dream to impart quality education to the youth, especially girls of this rural area. The college has tirelessly endeavoured to make his cherished dream a reality. He left for the heavenly abode but his spirit lives and guides us. In today’s day and age when even education has become a source of income, we never lost sight of our vision and mission. For us education has always been a service and not a profitable business opportunity. Some of our programmes are run under SFS, but we offer these at a much lower fee structure than city colleges to make it affordable for the students. To encourage the students to pursue higher education, the college offers various scholarship schemes. For instance, ‘Chhatra Utkarsh Yojna’ was launched in 2016 to provide financial assistance to the students with poor financial background. The importance of education in the country cannot be undermined and the education in the rural areas is as important. Though it’s a challenge to increase the strength of students owing to the attraction towards colleges situated in the city, we have never considered relocating our campus in an urban area. We strive to offer an ideal blend of traditional and modern education to our students. The college endeavours to empower the rural youth by teaching them job oriented skills and also by guiding them to lead a righteous life. Realizing the need to educate the rural population, it has made earnest efforts to bridge the gap between education in rural areas and the education in urban areas by providing access to the modern and the latest tools of learning on digital platforms near their homes. In college, we provide an education system rooted in Indian culture and the best of modern techniques. The college boasts of highly qualified and dedicated staff and an extremely supportive management.
