Sri Balaji Medical College and Hospital (SBMCH), Chennai

As per pre-requisite admission to 1 BDS degree course, Candidates must have appeared in SBVUDCET. However, mere appearance in SBVUDCET-2013 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to BDS degree course. For admission to BDS degree course, the candidate should fulfil the necessary admission requirements prescribed by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University.

Qualification: Candidate for admission to the first year BDS degree course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST) in the following subjects. Candidate must also have taken English as one of the subjects.

Biology (Botany & Zoology) / Physics/ Chemistry. Student also should secure 50% marks and above in the common entrance test to be eligible for seeking admission.

Age Limit: Candidate should be 17years of age as on 31st December 2013. However, no upper age limit has been prescribed.

Candidate desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test (SBVUDCET-2013) conducted by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post.

Candidates either have to use the application form given along with the Information brochure by the college or downloaded application form from website www.sbvu.ac.in/www.balajitrust.org. Candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs-1000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) as a Demand Draft separately towards the cost of the application along with the completed application form. The application and information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs 1000/- by cash from the College Office or can be obtained by post by sending a requisition along with Demand Draft for Rs 1000/- inclusive of postal charges drawn in favour of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, Payable at Puducheery. After processing, if found eligible, the Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidate by post.
