Step-6: If there is any variation click on “Previous” button, make necessary corrections and then Click “Submit”. Get a printout of the Form and note the Form No. for future reference.

Step-7: Deposit the non-refundable “Application Fee of Rs. 250/- (including Rs. 150/- as IT Fee) and Entrance Test fee of Rs. 500/-“ i.e Rs. 750/- for one Programme and Rs. 250/- for each subsequent Programmes, through Online mode only.

Step-8: Applicant can view the Application details by providing username and password. Applicant is required to make sure that "Application Status" on application form is “Fee Received” after 3 days otherwise application will be treated as incomplete and summarily rejected.

Step-9: Candidates in their own interest are advised to apply & submit application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online. Directorate shall not be responsible if candidates are not able to submit their applications on account of the last minute rush. Please retain print-out of application form for future references.

Submission of Online Application Forms:

The candidates are advised to follow the following steps for filling their Online Application Forms

Step-1: Visit University www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on link Admissions 2017

Step-2: Enter Prospectus Serial No. reflected on the front inner cover and you’re Registration No. and Click Search (if already registered with University of Kashmir your particulars/exams. passed will appear from database automatically). Otherwise enter all details yourself

Step-3: Select the desired Programmes and Campus/College Preferences and Upload your latest passport size photograph and your specimen signature

Step-4: Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, click on Submit. If there is any variation click on Previous Button, make corrections and then Submit. Get a printout of the Form and note the ID for future reference 

Step-5: Deposit the Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 245/- per course (plus Rs. 10/- Bank charges) against the Paying Slip generated with the Application Form, in any of the branches of the J&K Bank Ltd. across the Country.

Candidates should have graduation with atleast 40% marks under 10+2+3 pattern. Other eligibility conditions are available at Kashmir university website

Application Form

Candidates are advised to fill up the Online Registration Form, which can be available on official website www.kashmiruniversity.net

The hard copy of the print out of the Online Form alongwith the attested photocopies of the following documents be submitted to the office of the undersigned

a) Marks certificates of 1st, 2nd & 3rd year

b) All original documents including Migration certificate for Students who are not registered with this University

Besides, the candidates have to deposit the course registration fee of Rs.100/- at any finacle branch of J&K bank; however, the candidates who are not registered with this University have to deposit following fee in addition to course Registration fee in the J&K Bank at University Service Counter, Maulana Rumi Gate

i) Registration Fee Rs.200/-

ii) Eligibility Fee Rs.110/-

Candidate can check the status of their Registration after 15 days subject to depositing the hard copy of the Form in the office of the undersigned

The candidates desirous to seek admission must have secured not less than 55% marks at Masters level and shall have to qualify the entrance test

However, the JRF/NET/SET qualified candidates and college teachers with five years service are exempted from appearing in the test

Permanent university teachers with one year substantive service, contractual university lecturers with one academic session teaching experience, college/schools teachers and state employees with two years substantive service, are eligible on part time basis but they have to qualify the entrance test

The candidate seeking admission to Ph.D programme must have qualified M.Phil with at least B grade

Besides, the following categories of the candidates shall be eligible for direct admission to Ph.D programme

Candidates having secured at least 65% of marks at PG level and at least 60% of marks in the entrance test
