VTUEEE 2021:

·          A pass in +2 (or its equivalent).

·          Those appearing for 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in March/April/May 2021 can appear for VTUEEE 2021.

·          For the purpose of consideration for award of the Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship, the State or Union Territory from which the candidate has studied and appeared for the qualifying examination (12th standard examination of the State or Central Board) will be taken as the state to which the candidate belongs, even though the nativity of the candidate may be another State or Union Territory.

Direct Admission:

In addition to the Government norms, candidates who seek admission to B.Tech Degree Programmes should have either completed or appearing for, any one of the following examinations as on March 2020:

·          10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by any State Board, Central Board of higher Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi). The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi); National Institute of Open Schooling; Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University; High School Certificate Examination of the University of Cambridge or equivalent.

·          Eligibility: minimum of 60% marks in MPC/BPC in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination for admission into B.Tech programmes 2020.

Lateral Entry to B.Tech Degree Programmes:

1.     The candidates who possess the Diploma in Engineering / Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.Tech in the branch corresponding to the branch of study.

2.     The candidates who possess the Degree in Science (B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the H.Sc. are eligible to apply for admission to the third semester of B.Tech.

Online Application

Candidate can visit https://www.veltech.edu.in to apply online. Application fee can be paid through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card/ paytm wallet.

Instruction

·          Candidates can register by providing the basic information.

·          Registered Candidates will receive an email notification to their registered email id with their application number, password and the link to complete the application form.

·          Cost of the Application is Rs.950/- (non-refundable). Payment can be done via net banking /Debit card/ Credit card.

·          Kindly keep scanned copy of all the documents required handy, while filling in the application form. Documents required: Colored passport size photograph & candidate’s signature, uploading size is limited to 100 KB.

·          On successful completion of the form and payment you can download the online application form.

·          All future communications will be done only to the registered email ID.

Offline Application

Candidate can send in a Demand draft for Rs.950/- drawn in favour of “Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology”, payable at Chennai, to The Head Admission along with a requisition letter containing the full address of the applicant.

Ph.D. Degree in Engineering/ Technology

M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. (Research) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology.

The candidate should obtain minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examinations, or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency.

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

Ph.D. Degree in Management Sciences

MBA / M.Phil / Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management or Administration awarded by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) / M.S. (By Research) in Management Sciences.

The candidate should obtain minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examinations, or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency.

M.L in the relevant branch of Law.

The candidate should obtain minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examinations, or its equivalent grade ‘B in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency.

Admission Procedure:

·          Candidates applying for Ph.D are required to write the entrance examination.

·          The syllabus for entrance examination is available in website.

·          The entrance examination consists 50% of the research methodology and 50% subject specific questions.

·          Candidates with UGC/CSIR(JRF)/NET/SLET/Teacher-Fellowships/MPhil/other National level eligibility test will be exempted from writing the entrance examinations.

·          The candidate should secure 50% marks in the entrance examination to qualify for the personal interview.

·          The candidates short listed in the entrance examination shall be called for the personal interview. The candidates are required to discuss their research interest/ area through a power point presentation before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee.

·          Selected candidates shall be provisionally admitted for Ph.D programme on verification of original certificates and payment of prescribed fee structure for Ph.D.

Step 3 – Filling Online application form

·          Fill in the relevant fields carefully.

Step 4 – Photo, Signature & Documents Upload

·          After that, your softcopy of photo and signature should be uploaded.

·          Supporting documents to be submitted in jpg or pdf format, subjected to maximum size of 100 kb

·          Scanned files of your photograph (100 KB (Max.) & jpeg file) and signature (100 KB (Max.) & jpeg file)

·          SSLC / Equivalent certificate(100 KB (Max.) & pdf file)

·          HSC / Equivalent(100 KB (Max.) & pdf file)

·          UG Degree Certificate(100 KB (Max.) & pdf file)

·          PG Degree Certificate(100 KB (Max.) & pdf file)

·          Transfer Certificate(100 KB (Max.) & pdf file)

·          For Part time Ph.D.

·          Selfie photo is not allowed.
