Xavier Institute of Development Action and Studies (XIDAS) was founded in the year 1995 by Fr. Michael Van den Bogaert, SJ. It is a Registered Society run by the Jesuits of Madhya Pradesh Province. It is a sister concern of Jesuit run Management Institutes like XLRI, Jamshedpur; XIM, Bhuwaneshwar; XISS, Ranchi; LIBA, Chennai and XBS, Kolkata and many others across the world. The Institute offers two years full time AICTE approved PGDM and PGDM-RM programmes and specializations in Human Resource, Marketing and Finance and Rural Management. The minimum qualification for admission to the PGDM program at the Institute is three / four years bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by the association of Indian Universities.
Candidates appearing for the final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in the academic year 2020-21 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit a copy of mark sheets of 1st, 2nd/3rd year. Such candidates if finally selected at XIDAS, Jabalpur must clear their graduation examination with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) by August 2021.
Also, a candidate desirous of seeking admission at XIDAS, Jabalpur will have to appear in any one All India level management aptitude test (CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CAT).
Selection Criteria: The final selection is based on the following:
· Past academic record (30% weightage)
· Performance in entrance tests (35% weightage)
· Performance in Personal Interview (20% weightage)
· Extra Curricular/Minority (15% weightage)

Any graduate/postgraduate student with at least 50% marks in aggregate of either of these degrees (40% in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidate), and who has a valid entrance test score (MAT/XAT/ATMA/CAT/MET) can apply for admission to XIMJ
The download application form should be filled in completely and submitted to the admission office of the institute, along with the required processing fee of Rs 800/- and other documents as indicated in the application form. Institute’s tests: The short-listed candidates will be called for group discussion, personal interviews and English language test, before they are finally selected for admission. All these tests carry merit points that will be taken into account while deciding the capability of a candidate
Special merits: Candidates belonging to the categories of SC/ST/OBC and those with relevant work experience and women candidates from all categories will be given special merit points in the admission procedure, as per the merit chart prepared by the institute. Christian minority candidates have a special quota, as Xavier institute is a minority educational institute. Moreover, since this is a specialized course, students with qualifying degree in the fields of engineering, technology or science will get additional merit points
Placement and employment: There is a bright future for employment in the field Telecom management. On successful completion of their studies, the outgoing students of PGDM-TM will be absorbed in the commercial organizations and govt services, through a systematic placement procedure of the institute. On the part of the students, hard work, commendable character and personal conduct, proficiency in English and good knowledge of the subjects are absolutely essential in order to get a good placement. With the full cooperation of the students, the institute is in a position to ensure the employment of all its outgoing students after completing successfully their PGDM course in Telecom Management
Admission policy: All admissions will be based on the Institute’s admission system, which includes the following qualifying degree marks, entrance test score, English language capability, institute’s group discussion and personal interview, special merit points to socially disadvantaged candidates
Qualifying entrance tests: Xavier Institute is an associate member of MAT/XAT/ATMA for the national level entrance tests. Students with CAT/MET score of the relevant year are also eligible for admission. However, while the entrance test is compulsory for qualifying for admission to Xavier Institute, the score of this test carries only some merit points (a lower score getting a lower merit point and a higher score getting a higher merit point). Several other criteria also will be taken into account while calculating the over-all merit of each candidate. Hence, there is no cut-off mark as such for the entrance test score
